Hi everyone
We're back now, got back yesterday after spending the whole day (my birthday, which I am ignoring this year as it was the first one without Dad) on the ferry and train.
The funeral was very tragic - apparently he shot himself after his marriage to my boyfriend's friend's mum broke up. It was a full military funeral - I've never been to a 'proper' church funeral before, never mind an irish catholic military one.
Have done nothing in the house. Studying lots.
Hugs to Carlsberg, AnW's and Lady-L - I am thinking of you all.

Well so far, I have the dress, the shoes, and the underwear (my something blue). I've sort of worked out how I'm going to have my hair, and today we're going to a venue (a community club) to find out about renting it for our reception when we come back from honeymoon. We will be having a lunchtime reception and that way anyone with children can come, and if anyone (eg flyladies) has to come some distance, they will have time to get there and get home again. Hopefully I'm going to have white orchids for my bouquet.
We still need to find a bridesmaid dress for my friend and a suit for Moon.
I've also had quotes for a wedding band to be made for me, as my engagement ring is a cluster of diamonds that make a flower shape (similar to the picture but the band on mine is plain white gold) so they stick out either side of the ring, so need one shaped to fit it.
SO excited! :jEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

Finally finished digging over the flowerbed outside the shed. I've got lots of roots out of it, however, the source of my giant bindweed appears to be from UNDER the concrete base that the shed is on. So I think I'm going to have to wait for it to grow, train it up a couple of bamboos and then dunk it in weedkiller in the hope that it will be terminal.
I was debating planting a few things in the bed so it doesn't look so bare for the rest of the year, but think I might leave the decision till next weekend.
Washing up done, one load of laundry on the line, DW on, kitchen table almost cleared. Problem is, I'm having lots of work related ideas that I really, really want to get on with, but it seems a bit sad when it's so lovely outside0 -
