Wednesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area DONE

GS1 has been knocked down at tea time. He is ok but sounds very much like he has a broken foot. DD wont let me go to the hosp so waiting for futher news. Have spoke on the phone to him so feel better Ive spoke to him. Foot is very swollen and a bit sticking out. All he is bothered about is his Rockports. He got off the bus and walked into the side of a car and it went over his foot. Bus stop just beside hospital so his mate carried him.

Got the bathroom done before I went to my voluntary job. The poor cat is trying to find a cool place to lie.

    Soappie Hi!
carlsberggal Glad to hear Danny is on his way home.

    Evening all

Hugs Vanilla - families - who'd have 'em eh?
Newlywed - hugs to you to - have you tried signing on at a temp agency? Even if it's menial stuff (like wot I'm doing at the mo) it'll bring in a couple of quid...
Tooch - the necklace. My first thought was - Why? But then don't mind me - I don't really do necklaces...
Boddy - sorry to hear about GS1 being knocked down - hope he mends quickly

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time but now I'm not so sure.....

The bathroom badly needs decorating so I thought I'd do it this weekend whilst DD is in Spain and won't be showering here (I can get by with strip washes if necessary but she can't even contemplate them for some reason!) and the forecast is set fair.

I have scrubbed the ceiling with bleach solution to try and get down the small patches of mould prior to painting. I then thought I'd scrape off the flaky bits of paint on one wall (the other three are fine - this one wall used to be an outside one before I had the kitchen built). THREE hours later, the scraping of old paint still isn't quite finished. But the good news is there's only a bit of snagging to do.

The combination of plaster dust and smell of bleach in my nasal passages is an interesting but rather irritating one.

Off to find something for dinner - stir fry I think and then flop.
