No... The only fruit juice I'll have is smooth orange juice and apple juice. I have no idea why I'm like this, my Mum tried her best but I just would not have fruit as a child and the aversion has stayed with me!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I suggest weightwatchers as you can eat whatever you like, but you do need to weigh things and stick to it. Liking healthy foods such as fish and lean meat and veg certainly help as you can eat a lot more of them! If you want to eat fatty foods you'll just have to have less. I lost 2 stone and i'm stopping, my sister lost 3 stone and counting and that's in about 4/5 months.
As others have said, it's fine to be picky about what you eat but if you're stubborn and refuse to make the necessary changes then you aren't going to make a difference to your weight except in the wrong direction!0 -

You sound like me eight years ago! I didn't look after my health for long enough to make myself ill, then I HAD to learn to enjoy healthy foods ... I am now a fitness instructor! Possible reasons you will be tired will be lack of fitness, poor nutrition or dehydration, I can honestly tell you when I was eating at my healthiest I had an incredible amount of energy just like a child. I did bar work/ waitressing over two floors for six months and I still had the energy to run six miles three times a week. :j
Government guidelines for healthy eating are: minimum of five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, two to three portions of dairy products a day, small portions of meat (no bigger than your palm), at least two portions of oily fish per week, eat plenty of wholegrains, limit saturated fats and sugary foods, two litres of fluids per day.
Two meals a day is not sufficient, this may be why you are craving fatty foods. Experts recommend you always eat breakfast (whatever time you get up), then eat something every four hours all day - this boosts your metabolism and should also mean you have more energy.
Fruit and veg wise loads of things count - all dried fruits (love pears and cherries), tinned fruit and frozen veg, baked beans, tomato puree, fruit juice. I will eat veg in a soup, curry, stir fry, stew or pasta sauce and fruit in a fruit salad where I would not enjoy it on it's own.
Fish-wise I would not eat ANY except tinned tuna, so I started taking a high dose omega-3 fish oil supplement. This is a key nutrient for skin and for weight management as well as the health of all cells in the body. You can buy omega-enriched eggs, LesKol branded omega half-fat cheese. I also forced myself to try a tin of salmon, mixed with low fat soft cheese it makes a good pate or is nice with pasta. I now eat fresh trout and cod but am still fussy with most other fish.
Dairy products supply calcium which is important for bone health and for weight management. The protein is will help keep you feeling full and stopping you craving fatty foods. Just have the dairy products you like - milk, yoghurt, low fat soft cheese, flavoured cottage cheese, tinned evaporated milk, half fat cheddar.
I cannot drink water either as it makes me feel sick - I have sugar-free squash. I find some sweeteners make me really thirsty so usually get Asda own brand. You can also make homemade lemonade with sweetener or pink grapefruit juice with sparkling water mixed in - these both slow the speed at which which carbs are turned to sugar in the body which may help with weight loss. :T
I was fussy my whole childhood and all through my twenties, if you accept it you will always be like that. You CAN change by trying little bits of new foods regularly, or working out what it is you do and do not like about certain foods - is it the texture or the taste? I like sauces/ gravy on all my food and will eat many more vegetables if they are 'disguised' in this manner. Some I like raw but not cooked, and I don't like the texture of any root veg so I just don't have it.
Last bit of advice, be disciplined once a week when you do your supermarket shop - don't take money to work if this is a danger time - if there is no rubbish in the house you cannot eat it. By all means have a few treats, but the fatty foods you know you eat to excess stop buying. :money:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

It is not the end of the world if you don't eat fruit as long as you eat a broad range of vegetables. Obviously if you have a phobia that is affecting your life, then it would be wise to try the hypnotherapy. Will you eat a spoonful of cranberry sauce, chutney or high fruit content jam with other foods? What about dried fruits as they are a different texture (there are loads of types if you go to a health food shop)?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

I don't do fruit sauces/jam etc, but I don't mind raisins and I've recently started having dried apricots in things so I'm getting there slowly I think! I'll try the health food shop and see what else they have I can try!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Year before last, I did slimfast for a few months to get myself into the mindset of calorie counting. It's not to everyone's taste, but it worked for me.
I fell off the wagon when I first moved in with OH - comfort eating in the evenings etc. But, diet started last week and gym is being used. I'm also enjoying salsa.
I always used to tell myself that I don't like fruit or veg. Now, I'll eat almost anything. It's psychological. I'll have strawberries or grapes with my weetabix in the morning. I cook a large batch of ratatouille at the weekend and OH WILL eat it even if MIL2B says he doesn't like veg. OH hasn't even noticed that when I make bolognese, it tends to be more veg based than meat. Desert used to be cheesecake, now it's fruit salad.
OP you still haven't told us what you do like eating. It would be helpful (to you) to do a food diary for a week. Don't forget about the odd starbucks latte or glass of wine here and there. There are hidden calories that everyone forgets about everywhere!
PM me if you like, as our weddings are only a month apart and we have similar 'size' goals. We could provide 'moral support' to each other...Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

Sorry I know this isnt what you want to hear but unless your in your teens then the fat is not puppy fat , and is simply a result of weight gain.
The harsh reality is that if you continue to eat rubbish the fat will stay , so you can either change your diet and exercise or you stay the same . No amount of slimming pills will do it for you .0 -
I second the 10 Minute dvds- I just got one that is dance based.
Also try Zumba classes- most areas have them now and I find there are loads of different teims. Its fun and gets your energy levels up- is easy and whats more doesnt feel like exercise ( except you are ! ).0
