p-pincher you bet me to it.

i would really recommend doing slimming world aswell.

i done most diets and i've found slimming world isn't really a bit and even the fussyest (sp) eater can lose weight on slimming world.

and you do slimming world on shift i have a few that do it on mine :)

you need to stop making excuses for everything because its ok to want to lose weight but if your mind isn't really init then you wont get no where with it and will be moaning at us in 11 months time

    good luck x

Eat less. It's simple but it works.

Alternatively, your OH obviously loves you as you are otherwise he wouldn't want to marry you - so get married as you are.

Chances are that if you try to lose two dress sizes in eleven months you will become obsessed by your weight and your OH will start wondering why he wanted to marry you in the first place.

Join weight watchers, only been going 4 weeks and i've lost half a stone and gone from a size 14 to a size 12. I'm planning on keeping going until my wedding in August! I am very fussy but find weight watchers to be the best diet I have ever been on as i can still eat the food I like. It teaches you portion control, the benefit of exerciese..and also reveals just how bad some of the foods i thought were healthy actually are!
Now a married lady and loving it! Now..to clear that pesky mortgage!

When you say puppy fat do you want to lose weight or tone up???

They should go hand in hand

I joined WW online and go to a circuit class twice a week. Since October I have lost nearly 3 stone and dropped 2 dress sizes

  • Why not post your daily menu so we can have a look and make suggestions as to what to cut out?
If you're walkign at work for 8 hrs something is very wrong with your diet and the only way we can advise is if you tell us honestly what you eat

You are probably not eating enough meals - daft as it may sound - and what you are eating is not all good for you.

Try eating breakfast - even if it is just a piece of fruit, yogurt or a cereal bar.
Low-fat / healthy choice sandwich for lunch.
    Low-fat meal for tea.

You need to try & reprogramme yourself to choose lower fat meals / foods - you've got a goal in mind so try to think "size 10 means oven chips" or "size 10 means tomato & bacon sauce on my pasta, not carbonara".

What do you drink during if you won't drink water & don't drink tea or coffee? Fizzy drinks are laden with calories.

Have you ever added up the calories you have consumed in a day - being honest with yourself? Have you checked your BMI? Have you thought about what your "mainly fatty food" diet could be doing to your overall health?

Just out of curoisity, how many nights a week do you work; you must have some days off in between?

I think it's a shame you don't eat vegetables; they are so full of flavour and texture. Not all veg tastes the same; broaden your horizons and try different things in small quantities. You might be surprised.

I am a bit of a gym addict, and mainly do classes (spin, body pump, step, dance...). Why don't you see if you can go and do some classes, or even go swimming a few times a week just to work on the fitness? You always feel more invigorated after exercise. I used to work nights, and would go to the gym for a few hours and do a class or two before heading to work. It made me feel really good!

I too am trying to lose some weight by not eating junk food and being more healthy. It's tough!!!
