An absolute waste of time. Great on paper, not a pun, haha but seriously like my wifey said. They have done their research, they probably had a machine moving back and forth testing these pens continously 24/7.

They probably came to the conclusion that the ink will empty within say, for example 42 days, so its funny how they say send within 31 days of purchase. No tampering allowed coz its incredible easy to take out the ink cartridge, take out the bottom writing tip attachment and blow air through it and voila, ink pours out.

Plus it looks like its ONE pen per claimant, BUT 10 pens per office. If you lie and say your house is an office, you could lose your £100.

    Anyways thanks for the tip.

jinkssick, I think you misread the T&C - you have to send your biro at LEAST 30 days after purchase ... to me that reads that you can send it only 30+ days after purchase?

My last bic pen lasted about 4 months. :D

However, instead of pouring scorn over it I shall take up this challenge as it'll be fun

I dont think the pouch has to be black? It's black pens.

it definetly wants the Pouch ( see below) i suppose to stop us sending the pens back one at the time. it seem we need to find the special promotion packs and not just any pen.

"Buy a promotional pack of 10 BiC® Cristal® Medium Black pens between 1st April and 31st December 2010 and keep your receipt or invoice – you’ll need to send it to us later."

Send us your pen! It's got to be at least 30 days after the date of purchase, but by 31st January 2011. Make sure you include the receipt or invoice, the completed application and the empty BiC® Cristal® Medium black promotional pack pouch 10 packaging too.

In our office we buy boxes of 50, so would need to buy a separate pack of 10, hmmm. Don't think I've ever finished one - that's what they rely on, as I bet a lot of people lose them. Bit like a lipstick, you never actually finish it! Clever marketing methinks to get people to buy more pens!
  • I could never keep a pen long enough to empty it, I d lose it well before then. I buy a pack of ball point pens every month and lose them all!!
