How is this a pertinent response to my statement about child abuse not being sex linked? We have already identified that this is a FORUM and not a court of law. Your question regarding a 64 year old woman and a child was hypothetical, so how has that hypothetical woman suddenly a) become a man and b) been tried and vindicated?

Sorry I fail to see the ring of logic. James' posts on this thread are not logically displayed in an analytical manner, but more antagonistic in a troll like inflamming manner. There is no logic in condoning a 60 year old with a 14/15 yeard old child. It is wrong and immoral to feel sexual attraction to a child and IMO wrong to feel attraction when that child reaches an adult if you knew that person whilst they were a child and you were an adult.

Modern society has certain social mores that are accepted and we live by the culture of the society we live in. Morals are for the protection of the species and we all have to live within the accepted constraints of behaviour.

It would appear that this man has breached accepted behaviour and this should be stopped and any further children should be protected. As a parent to protect children at all costs is a feature that I have that I am very proud of, and I am not going to apologise for having a well developed sense of protection!!

how do you know hes breached accepted behaviour though thats what im trying to say

you are saying tht the 15 year old was not old enough to make the descion of whethere it was right for her to have sex or not
but why is it thatshes old enough to be able to have claimed to have sex that people belive her

Unfortunately James, self proclamained interlectual mob rule on this thread, no 2 sides to this coin, and I have no opinion as not enough information, is there everyone!
Its amazing how often the facts (and how few of those there are) have been manapulated to fit in with the posters vitriol though.
My advice to the OP is go back in time and form realationship of trust and love with your daughters, also why do you not trust your eldest daughter no matter how she has now chosen to live her life with the care of her sister??
Any clues as to what may have been missing in their lives...

    Lets simplify this.

A father is worried that his 14yr DD is at risk from a man that he has been lead to believe had sexual relations with her older sister when she was only 15yrs.

He wants to know what he can do to protect his younger DD, as he doesn't feel the mother is acting unwisely in regard to his younger DD safetly in the fact she has allowed the younger DD to accompany her sister and this man to a foreign country.

It's not a question of is he a **** or isn't he, it's a question of how can the OP protect his child from a perceived danger. To which he has been pointed in the direction of social services, her school, NSPCC and the police for advise.

Is it wrong that we all jump on the protect the child you can band wagon rather than sit back and wait to see if it happens?

    What a load of rubbish!

The fact that he wasn't proved to be guilty was because (according to the OP) his daughter wouldn't make a statement to the police so they couldn't try him in a court of law.

That isn't the same as being innocent of a crime.

So somebody murders somebody else - that's a fact.
But the police can't catch the killer and try him in a court of law.
So does that make the killer innocent?
    Of course not!

so if the guy had not "supposedly" had sex with the 15 year old would there be a problem with them all going on holiday then ?

If it was the former reason instead of the latter, then he wouldn't be innocent, would he?
Even though he hadn't been proven guilty!!!

    Flawed reasoning, Jamespir.
