Hi Determo
You seem to be tackling your debts very sensibly & have the most exciting time of your life ahead with your new baby.... hopefully him indoors also manages to avoid any further bad luck with jobs
I would also say that you should try to get a good night's sleep every night just now as your wellbeing is paramount

Thanks JB - I'm hoping by putting it all down will kind of relieve some of the activity in my mind a bit and I'll be able to sleep better but yes it's been tough working f/t, growing a little one and not sleeping either (or waking up at stupid o'clock) - it's like a vicious circle.... and obviously some of it is excitement too!

Thank you! I really can't wait
We put off having a family for a couple of years because of the job/money situation and now just seemed as good a time as ever...
I am quite lucky with work in that I can take a decent amount of time off so I'm going to make the most of the time I have before I need to think about work again. Luckily as OH works Saturdays he gets a day off in the week so it will be lovely for him to have quality time with the little one as well.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Thanks Mummy2my girls! And congratulations on the birth of your little boy
Day 2 of the Diary
I don't want to speak too soon but I had a great nights sleep last night (although OH was away which might have had something to do with it) - I'm wondering whether getting it all off my chest into the diary might have helped too??
This morning got up nice and early, sorted out student1 with her breakfast (student2 sorts herself out). Put on a loaf of bread (in the breadmaker) and sorted out the biggest mountain of washing I have seen in my life. Bit disappointed the weather has deteriorated as it's doubtful it will all dry outside now but hey that's English weather for you - as I type it's just started to rain
Counting down the days to payday so I can make the first overpayment on the loan. I think that will quite a milestone for me, out of all the loans I've ever had I've never really considered paying over the set amount, this site really has got me thinking in a different way.
Have also been dreaming of the day we finally pay everything off and feel it's worthy of some sort of celebration, haven't decided what it would be yet but might discuss with OH tonight when he gets back to try and get his motivation up as well.
Thought of a couple more things I could Ebay too. Our spare rooms are being occupied as the moment but by next week I'll have one free so that will give us a bit more space to get things out and start photographing.
I hope you are all doing good and feeling positive today!
A huge thanks to everyone who's posted so far, it's good to have the support!Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Sounds a good idea to have something to aim for as a celebraton when all the debts have been paid....might have to think of something for us aswell....
Good luck with the ebaying - i really need to get back to it - did well in the first few mths of the year to help save for paternity pay but havent sold any thing for a few mths now.
Have a good sunday xGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Glad to hear you had a good night. Have you checked that you can make over payments without being charged. If you do get charged it may work out cheaper if you save it up and pay off in one lump sum.
I have sold two more items on ebay today and other items due to end, so fingers crossed.
I will be adding to the listings today but I also need to write some reports for work so I need to get a move on.
Off to bring some home made soup to the parents, Mam is unwell at the moment.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
Thanks both! Hope you both had good Sundays too.
That's a good point roomontheend - I will check, I spoke to the bank a little while ago and they said it's fine to make overpayments but I had better check just in case she forgot to mention any charges - thanks!

Just dropping in for a quick one, hope everyone has had a good Monday. I have taken some pictures for Ebay and have just listed my first item!!
Have put a loaf on tonight and am in the process of making caramel shortbread (yum!).
Going to try and do some more Ebay this week - every little helps.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future.
