  • Update:

I posted a plea on the MK website for a member of staff to get in touch and they did!

They told us all about parking and even told us to introduce ourselves to the ambulance people in case we have problems. Bless em at MK, thats real customer service!

We went on Friday night and because of our kids and the traffic didn't actually get to Milton Keynes until really late. However, we came in on the A421 and followed the signs for the 'National Bowl'. Some way down Chaffron Way we saw a sign for parking in a school - took a chance (as we thought the official car parks would be a nightmare - and parked in their playground for a fiver. 10 minutes walk past a beautiful lake and we were there. When we left (after the inevitable crush to leave the arena) 10 minutes walk and we were back at the car. The school still had their toilets open (a godsend) and were selling drinks and snacks and it only took us a couple of minutes to get back on the open road. We had been travelling for an hour and people were on the radio still stuck in the car park. Thoroughly recommend it !!!

I also parked here, and had prebooked it as soon as the venue changed from Wembley, excellent find.

Sorry, can't remember what the school was called but it was definitely off Chaffron Way/Road which I think is also known as 'H7' near Furston Lake (I think it was called). It was a huge sign pointing out where it was so you can't miss it. They also helpfully gave us a map so that we new how to get back (if we got lost) but of course I threw that away on Saturday.

The school is called "Caroline Haslett", and is located in Shenley Lodge, an estate next to the bowl.

    The address is:
Caroline Haslett Combined School, Faraday Drive, Shenley Lodge, Milton Keynes.

You can pre-book parking for future events, or turn up and it's only a fiver. Bargain really.

Thanks you for that. I might just try to park there.

  • does anyone know if theres gunna be a tour dvd? Just watching leeds now after going to MK on saturday - great memories!
  • Went to MK last night by train from Berkhamsted - the show was brilliant! The organisation at MK station was excellent We were advised by friends who went last week to stand on the right side of the stage for the station exit and leave just as 'Angels' is starting ....... and walk very very fast!!! We managed to catch the 2302 back to Berkhamsted and we got home before friends who went by car! There are extra trains running every 20 minutes going south.
