  • hello all ,

went to see robbie yesterday , no queing to get in the golden circle end , take what you like in your bag they literally just glance in it , pathetic really , but do have to say that when the concert ended it was like being held in a cattle pen , awful , has really put me going again , robbie looked really really tired but he was still fantastic . we were in the "golden circle" just yards from robbie but to be honest i think that were ever you where in mk bowl you would have a fab view , some people are outrageous they were screaming at people that they were not moving , end of story , so tough if people wanted to get past !!!!!! this happened to us a few times , if we went the loo or to get a drink , i was disgusted , what gives them the god given right to have a go a people !!!! we had been there all day and had stayed in the golden circle ,and we had paid the same money as everyone else as i told one person ,i think she had glued her feet to the floor , patheic , personally i would not go in the "golden circle" again , it wasnt worth the hassle , otherwise to all who go , enjoy yourselves !!!!!!!!!!! take bin bags /rugs ,and take food with you as the food is rubbish , just what you expect i suppose , we parked at mk train station , then walked to mk bowl , well sigh posted .
  • Hi

Its just so i can keep showing the oh what he missed & keep reminding me what a fantastic time I had !!!!!
    Thanks
  • One word to say about the concert last night - wow. Robbies amazing you will never see anyone as good. you'll have a fab time if you're going mon/tues. Get there early like some of my freinds did and they got free wristbands for the inner circle - they didnt even get checked to see they had tickets in the first place! We were there about half one and went in straight away, no Qs so the gates were certainly open a lot earlier than planned and there were plenty of ppl there already. definately take something to sit on. The inner circle is disappointingly large for those who havent got tickets and wasnt even full even when robbie was on. The food is expensive (but wouldn't you charge that if you could?) but theres plenty of variety anyway. Noone checked our bags so we took sandwiches in etc. One tip if you want a programme (its not very good anyway) is not to buy it at full price (£12) because even before Orson were on they were reduced to £5. Traffic wasnt bad at all we were in the car by 11 and out by 11.45.
Have fun everyone its a fab show!

I was in the inner circle on Saturday and it was ok until after Basement Jaxx came on and then was so busy it was hard to breathe. People kept leaving to get some air. Couldn't see much space in there. We managed to sit down most of the time.

Excellent concert. Well worth reading this thread as fantastic tips from lots of people. One thing I would add that if you queue up at Gate 5 turn right to get to the inner circle and go past gate 3. You are then directly near the entrance to the inner circle. If you turn left at gate 5 you get stuck in the queue to go to the toilet.
  • Excellent concert really enjoyed myself, we parked in the building site that was the milton keynes football stadium (i think) denbigh carpark. We got back to the car and got straight out, very well organised. Unlike the car park i parked in for take that, that took us 4 hours to get out of!!!
Tickets didnt bother me, by the time Id asked the DO to get them to my local PO i had them in my hands by friday afternoon, went saturday, hey at the end of the day getting them 6 weeks in advance gives me more time to loose them.

We went on Friday night and because of our kids and the traffic didn't actually get to Milton Keynes until really late. However, we came in on the A421 and followed the signs for the 'National Bowl'. Some way down Chaffron Way we saw a sign for parking in a school - took a chance (as we thought the official car parks would be a nightmare - and parked in their playground for a fiver. 10 minutes walk past a beautiful lake and we were there. When we left (after the inevitable crush to leave the arena) 10 minutes walk and we were back at the car. The school still had their toilets open (a godsend) and were selling drinks and snacks and it only took us a couple of minutes to get back on the open road. We had been travelling for an hour and people were on the radio still stuck in the car park. Thoroughly recommend it !!!

In the arena we stood on the left (as you look at the stage) by the beer tent and there was quite a bit of room down there (although it was a bit of struggle to get over there once the gig had started) which was suprising considering how many were there. I've never seen the bowl so full !!!

    Have fun.

And Robbie was pretty good by the way. :T

Was that the stadium they are building next to ASDA and Ikea?

If so how long did it take to walk to the Bowl.

    Thanks for the info.

Yes it was, they said 15 mins walk more like 25 mins, nice walk though. I parked 10 mins away last time but it took 4 hours to get out, so the extra 15 minute walk was well worth it!!
  • Hi can anyone give me advice if you have already been?

I'm taking my terminally ill daughter who is in a wheelchair. She is attached to a portable drip so we are taking medical supplies and a letter for the local hospital in case of problems, however I really dont want her sat around for hours whilst we try and get out of the car park so can anyone give advice as to where's best to park and is it better to turn up around 6pm to miss the traffic?

Unbelieavably, the bowl doesnt have a phone number for help and seetickets.com dont really know anything about the ground!

    Thanks for any help guys
