Oh No, which night are you going? Phone customer services and they should be able to arrange for you to pick the tickets up from the box office on site.

Once anyones been tonight/fri, do you fancy posting some tips on the board for those going saturday or later? ie - what the queues (and car parks) were like, what time you'd recommend getting there etc. That'd really help me going on sat!

went last night (thursday) and it rocked! been to download, hyde park calling, and leeds festival this year and this was by far the best!!!

If you're lucky enough to have inner (=gold) circle then you should have a great view pretty much regardless of what time you arrive (i got there at six last night and was less than 5 metres from the stage! yay!), otherwise get early or relax on the hill...

i parked across the road from the station (25p/hour and free after 6pm), in mk the charges are colour coded lines in front of parking spaces (red=£1/hour and purple=25p/hour i think)... it was a very easy 25 minute walk (head to railway station and on the left, by the indian restaurant, is the bridge) from there its well signposted. it may take a very long time to get out of the venue car parks so if you can do the easy walk (its proper path along national cycle route 51 and well lit), then i;d recomend it!

if heading back to the M1 i went A421 (which is the H8, its a grid system horizontal roads are H1, H2, etc and vertical are V1, V2 etc) and that seemed a good bet compared with reports from other places.

*** a good shortcut home is to head for M1 south (ie junction 13) but when you get to the BP roundabout (after tescos, signposted right to wavendon) turn left towards broughton (cant recall the signposts sorry) and that'll bring you out right by the M1 J14 roundabout (its right at the next roundabout) missing 99% of the traffic there!!! (I worked right by J14 for a few years) ***

motorway was fine, apart from some planning idiot decided to reduce it to 1 lane northbound just before J15!!!

be warned the queue home for the trains was VERY VERY VERY long... and the "programmes" where just glossy pics from some robbie photoshoot, nothing about the tour, no writing. i thought a tour programme was supposed to be in someway connected to the tour or at least give your dates etc, ah well.... there were some printouts from his online blog thrown in, but that was about it. very dissapointed for £12, and on the way out they were flogging them for a fiver.

if you're going you're gonna have a great night, robbie was well on form!!

  • Got my tickets this morning cant wait til tonight. Did they let you take any plastic water bottles in? It was ok to do so for the Take That concert.

Yes that was fine... we took in 2 small bottles of water and 1 small of coke - all unopened (that could be important!). normal festival rules apply i think (nothing sharp or glass). we even took in our jacket spuds we'd just bought! There was plenty of food etc on offer, tried on of the fancy burger stands it was much better than the normal muck-trucks, worth paying the extra for i thought!

What was the traffic like in and around MK before the concert?

I can't decide what time to get there.

I do not want to get there too early, but I dont want to get caught in loads of traffic later on.

Any suggestions on best time to get there. I am not fussed about being near the front (I have General Admission) but don't want to be right at the back!

    Many thanks

  • I was there last night and it was fantastic.
If you have Gold Circle tickets there is no rush to get there early, there was still plenty of room in it when Robbie came on.
If you have General Admission Tickets (like I did) I got there for just before 10am and was able to park in the Bowl (£5) about a 5min walk from gate 3, and when they opened at 2pm I was able to get right up to the front of railings. I would take 2 ground sheets with you, one for the queue at the gate and another one to sit on in the bowl ( you can get them in Poundland for £1 each).
Preper your self for a long day and wear really comfy shoes, my feet where killing me by the end of it but it was worth it. At the end we left the car park at 00.25 and I arrived home at 2.00am (30miles).
It says you can only take water in but they only ask you whats in your bag they dont look so you can get away with taking other stuff in.
Hope this helps and have a fab night.
  • Saw robbie last night and he was amazing!!! It was the best concert i have ever been too!!! The basement Jaxx and Orsen were wicked!! They were all on top form and were just so brill!! Still feel on a buzz today!!
We got there at bout 12:00 and the queues were massive!! The parking was quite well organised! When 2:30 came they search your bags and dont allow any food or drink that has been opened in!! The guy who searched us threw away all our food which kinda annoyed me because the prices inside were a rip off!! I only had a general admission ticket but we had our hearts set on making it in the golden ticket area!! With a bit of begging from the guys on the entrances we got in for free!!First of all one guy said they were only letting groups of women in!! But if you ask nicely and go back in half an hour they are pretty generous who they let in!! So in the end we were just feet away from Robbie!!
Once the concert ended the car park to get out was awfull!! We sat in the car and just waited for the queues to go down before trying to leave!! It took us an hour an a half to get off the field! Be warned the traffic trying to get on to the M1 is pretty slow going!! All in all it took us about 3 and a bit hours to get back!!
But sitting in hours of traffic really is worth it!!! I want to go back again tonight!!! :j
  • cheers peeps, any more tips? it seems a bit hit and miss with getting food/drinks in.
  • Gave my tickets to my cous when they changed from wembley, she just rang me to say she just got there about an hour ago and they gave the first few in the queues gold tickets so she got to go in the inner circle right at the front.
Really pleased for her but gutted now as we let her have them because we originally bought seated for wembley and they came back when they changed to mk as just general admission

Hiya this is my first post, but been reading the forum for a while.

Went to Robbie yesterday, was fantastic! Tips: I went by train the walk to the venue was great well signposted easy peasy, but I would suggest that you use the same exit (gate 4) to leave, we left by a different gate and it took us double the time to find the station we were given about 10 sets of different directions and it gets to the point where there is no one else to ask and everywhere in Milton Keynes looks the same.

Also Freebies: Don't bother paying the £8/£16 for Robbie Lanyards find the very nice T-Mobile people lurking before you get into the venue, have your picture taken for free and recieve one bright pink Robbie/T-mobile lanyard for free!

Another tip dont head for the middle bank as you can't see anything thanks to the helpful positioning of the T-mobile sound desk thingy, head for one the the bank to the side of it mid way up great view and you are able to rest your feet before all the dancing before hand. Oh and remember to take a rug/black bags or something to sit on. And we didnt have our bags checked at all so managed to get crisps and drinks in.

Hope you everyone going has a great time.
