Don't. Go to the Home Phones section and read up on the pitfalls of unbundled lines (LLU). It's a one way street, unfortunately. Certainly not worth it for a quid a month.

Totally agree, certainly not worth the hassle for a quid.

Oh ok I trust what you say, thanks for info. You are all so helpful on here.

I have just gone onto the Sky home page and gone to my account online.
    I can get...
Sky, 1 extra bundle, Broadband everyday(10mg) + Talk freetime for £24 a month - Broadband amount is better than the 2mg I am getting at the moment.
Obviously I would have to keep my BT landline with BT so have to factor in cost of this to the above. If I change over to Skytalk (not the line rental) do i have to contact BT as I currently have Unlimited evening and weekend plan with them (due to renew on 26th of this month)?

Does everyone think this is ok? Or anyone know of a better offer?

Not sure if you will have to cancel the plan you have with BT or whether it will just expire.

On the TV side, depending on how long you have had your sky for, I would ring up to cancel sky and see if they offer you some sort of discount (like said before, even if they accept your cancellation it only takes an hour or two for them to restore your signal) then take out the broadband. If your take the broadband first then you will be in a 12month contract so wont be able to "cancel".

I have to cancel the BT deal or they renew it for a year again.
As for Sky well I tried to get them to do me a deal but I suppose I just am not a big earner for them lol . Didn't budge at all.
Got to be careful as I don't want to end up with my being locked into a deal with BT for no reason.
Time is not on my side lol
Thanks though , really appreciate all your advice.
