Friday 14th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

* I finally handed in my re-written dissertation report. Fingers crossed I pass as I would need to spend about £2k plus another year studying if I fail again. Will know in July at some point - no idea when.
* I paid my library fines whilst at uni
* Have started collating all the bits and bobs for my parents house move and listing the ones not in the wee box I've put by (such as bargain Mr A smartprice reduced duvets which DH WILL put in attic soon) so that we don't get more stuff we already have. I've put the list on top of their box so I can find it easily.
* Looked online for cheapest places for new printer cartridges, not just purchased them in town. Think I'm going for ebay but need to ensure they are proper new ones not remanufactured ones in an original box.
* Borrowed an OWL meter from local library for free and picked up book I ordered (again free

Poor money saving day for me today. Didn't make any major purchases - just very poor with meals etc. Didn't take my lunch to work as I normally do and forgot to get something out of the freezer for tea - needed milk so ended up buying tea from the supermarket. Haven't done my planning or proper shopping either - tut tut. Never mind I'm not normally this bad and at least there were no large purchases involved!
PS I'm 34, divorced, no children (probably unlikely - hey ho) Can't believe someone else the same age as me has a 17 year old - seems crazy now I'm just starting to be conscious of my child bearing years! It would be a boring world if we were all the same.Proud to have dealt with my debts:
Lightbulb moment - Jan 08. Debts - circa 7k
Debt free date 26/02/09

Hey at least you are debt free, it will probably take me 34 years to pay this off and yes have kids also.
You should just do whatever you want no need to be a conformist
Did not have a bad weekend though as shopped at tesco, bargain bashed our way through all of the aisles and got a 5p per litre fuel voucher.
And to top the lot got a letter from mortgage company accepting our move to an interest only mortgage for 12 months which will give us some breathing space...Phew!!!!
Happy Monday to all of you.0 -
Hi Cherryblossom!
I'm 34, divorced and no kids too! Not the end of the world if that's your thing, but I must admit I'm starting to be conscious of it too.
JIG is right though. At least you are debt free.
I've got a LOOOOOOONNNG way to go!!!!
~Anyway the list:

HM flapjacks for coffee break
Bulk prepared chilli for tea
Filled in application form for second job
Phoned National debtline for advice about F&F payment - They're great!
Found 5p on the pavement
Will finish the Kath Kelly book later
