Friday 14th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Goood morning lovelies:beer:
Hooray tis Friday at last! Off to work for the morning for me, then rest...!
I got on fine yesterday at the hospital, all ready and checked for Thursday...eeek, am very nervous! The preparation for the op starts next Tues...no solid food from then..booooo. It will be worth it....I keep telling myslef that:rotfl:
Ok, hope everyone having a good week and is ready for a lovely, dfw weekend:)
Here's my list:
Have a lovely day everyone:A

Hi everyone
Thanks for starting the thread, Milly.
Hope everyone has a good day today :grouphug:
Quick Friday post from me!- Taking a sandwich to work
- Check balance transfer thingymabob - had momentary panic that some interest is still to go on the cc (so wouldn't actually be 0 balance) but think I'm just being a bit crazy. Also first time I've done a bal transfer without increasing the amount I owe! It came up asking if I wanted to transfer money from a current account/overdraft and I almost ticked the box without thinking!! No, Eggyweggy, there's no overdraft here to worry about!

- Kept my shower at 8 - will this make any sort of difference and should I just put it up to 9 for a more enjoyable shower experience??!! Thing is, at 9 I enjoy it so much that it also lasts an extra 2 - 5 mins cos I stand under it like a zombie! Answers on a postcard please!
- watching my ebay bids roll in - have definitely sold about £30+ so that'll do me nicely. No bids on another few things but a few watchers - ends sunday so there's still time!
- started reading a cool book - Let me tell you a story by Jorge Bucay - I'm reading it in Spanish so can't promise it's not cheesy in English (Spanish can get away with it more I always think) but it's full of little fables/short stories that "can help every one of us understand ourselves, our relationships and our fears better".
- Put a coin in the jar
- PAD to cc
Roll on the weekend!

Morning All
I love Fridays - the weekend starts here :j (not that I go to work, just that Popeye will be home and I won't be so bored
)
Well done La escocesa on not increasing your BT :money:
So today I shall/will
Make beetroot soup, beetroot salsa etc from my now cooled roasted cheap beets
Learn how to make Hollandaise using the eggs I got cheap yesterday - I shall impress Popeye with eggs benedict for breakfast tomorrow
See if there is something less fattening to make with the egg whites than Pavlova
Continue with my surveys which I have restarted.
I may unpick the 2 fronts and back of the shrug I've been knitting as the sleeves really don't look right in this wool
and I'll look for something else to knit more suitable.
Have a great day everyone :A0 -
