Am going to a real ale festival with Mr Meerkat tomoz night;)hic hic, I will still be on wine though:o
Feeling really emotional today, just cried at a Kirsty Macoll song:o:o[STRIKE]no I can't be pregnant[/STRIKE]
(((huggles))) to all in need today xxx:A

Which Kirsty Macoll song? I only ask cos I was listening to her on my way to see Mooloo this morning and ended up blubbing, had to park the car up and pull myself together sharpish  The song that made me cry is "Thankyou for the days". Think I will insist its played at my funeral - not that Im planning on having one any day soon. Im also looking forward to the 80's series on BBC - love the music of that era. Think thats why I enjoy Ashes to Ashes so much.

Sorry Ive been absent - no real OS just real life getting in the way. I always read though and you all in my thoughts xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Thanks for you kind words Bitsy, tiredmum, jet77 and bargainbird

The rain stopped for a few hours so we managed to have a lovely BBQ at our log cabin in the park :D. I took them to Tesco and gave them £15 to buy meat, buns, pop, crisps, sauce and cakes, and they came back with all that and £1.14 change! They all had a fab day, but towards the end you could see that reality was hitting that this was their last day and some of them might not see each other again. They were rather quiet on the journey home. We said goodbye and I only just managed not to cry! I do feel chilled now as I have nothing to worry about sorting out for next few weeks til the next lot start and it's manic again :rotfl:

Off to watch the rugby now ...in the rain...

Had a good if expensive day car was serviced this morning and was o.k. but whilst it was in the garage my sis-in-law picked me up and I went shopping at Faversham. Not too bad food shopping wise, only spent £20.47 and bought lots of bits reduced so I'm quite pleased .Then I had a walk around the market and found some Betty Boop socks for DGS girlfriend as she is a 'Betty boop 'fan and I like to get her a little something for her birthday next week.I will also by her a big bottle of Badedas as its her favourite. Then spotted a nightie with Marilyn Monroe print on it at half price £4.99, so have bought that for one of my DGDs to put away for Christmas as its her favourite person Dreadful to think I am buying chrismas pressies already. Then found a great linen shop and treated myself to a huge thick bath sheet.Very large and thick and £21, but I had been looking for a big bath towel for ages and it fits the bill perfectly Then back to the garage to pick up my car .Severe ouch!! at the cost of a service but as its only two years old it has to be done in the main dealers.
Still sis-in-law treated me to lunch which was lovely and unexpected bless her so I won't be cooking tonight I will just have some yoghurt and fresh fruit I think. Managed to get a few bones in Morrisons so I am going to put them in my slow cooker to stew slowly and make some nice thick stock for some soup from them.I also got a very large pack of chicken thighs and drumsticks for only £1.50.they will go into freezer, so I have had a good day for bargains even though the garage was a bit steep.
Well time for some coffee, have a good evening everyone

JackieG - I hope your mum makes a recovery. Its a difficult decision for you to be in but you made the right choice giving your kids the choice xx

Elona - tsk tsk solicitors <rolls eyes> Its not as though you're asking for lots of info - OK the other side might be difficult to get hold of but they never seem to be in a position to give you some sort of update.

Anniestar -:eek::eek: suspended for one day? With the amount of injury Mark received any chance of him pressing charges?? Probably not knowing our legal system. I think he should be reimbursed for the cost of his trousers at any rate. And who says standards in schools haven't declined.

flutterby - glad the weather held for your BBQ :D as did your tears ;)

All mindees home (had an extra one after school today) so just logged on to check the thread and tot up the cost of my shopping for next week.

Might crack open a beer seeing as it's Friday night. Have also taken out of the freezer a YS cherry pie - OK it will only be me eating it (unless I can persuade the kids) but if I am sensible and don't scoff half in one sitting it can be my treat after a very busy week.

    Have a good Friday night.
