Morning all................(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one - hope all goes well for you today PP.

Its been very wet overnight, I have the bath towels in and it looks like rain, brilliant!! Its so cold I have put the heating back on!!

Friday clean, need to remove a chair from the living room so we can have the tabke right out when DD1 and SIL come on Tuesday.

OH planning to go out into the garden, I need to check the honeysuckle I put in the other day, its planted in the ground in front of the house, it does not always get the rain, so it may need watering.

Not sure what else I am going to be doing today.......possibly some cake and scones.

Yesterday I made a brush to clean down the ribs behind the radiators. I strapped a bottle brush to a 3ft garden cane, it works just fine, could not believe how much muck there was down the hall radiator......the rest of the rads will get done as I clean round today.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning All,

Day off today, busy day planned, though. Need to get DH orgaised for going away tomorrow, we'll do him a wee mini shop to get him started, and going up to see the littlies at MILs house. They are off to a birthday party tonight at SisIL's friend's house, so last chance to see them. :(

My house is a tip with all the to-ing and fro-ng this week, so the weekend will be spent cleaning and decluttering, which will keep me busy and not too lonely! I'm already feeling a bit stressed about it all, and of course the jobs he promised me he would do before he went aren't done, it also turns out he has another job starting the day after this one finishes, also down south (Heald? near Manchester) so will be gone for 7 weeks now. I think me and the boys will have to take a wee trip down for the weekend at some point.

The cinema was good last night, we went to see The Backup Plan with Jennifer Lopez. It was very funny, although I found the last ten minutes a bit disappointing. The guy in it, however, is gorgeous, and the way he looks at her in it is incredible. The girls I went with are single, and were drooling about how you would wait your whole life for a man to look at you like that!

When I switched my mobile on after I had a message from my youngest DSis to say that my mother has been taken into hospital with chest pains. I won't go into the details, but I have not spoken to my parents in more than two years. Now, my problem is that I don't feel anything about it other than a sort of detached interest, but am worried that I will either have some sort of delayed reaction, or will upset my sisters by not showing enough interest, and don't know what to do about telling the boys. The boys know why we don't see them, and have been told that when they are older if they want to make contact they can with no opposition from me, but I am concerned that if I don't let them see her and anything happens, they will hate me for it! Of course I don't wish anything bad will haooen to her, and hope she's OK, but not to the extent where I feel the need to go see her. I feel very confused this morning. I also don't want to annoy my sisters, my relationship with the younest is tenuous at the best of times.

    Sorry to go on.

Hope you all have a great day, hugs to those in need.

flutterby - hope the weather gets better for a lovely bbq today as a fab reward for all the hard work yesterday ... you must be so proud - WELL DONE :D
Noahsmum - (((HUGS))) hope you managed to get some sleep last night
MSD - how are you feeling hun? hope it's getting a little better each day
Tired Mum - one of my fosters chewed up DD2's homework book last night ... she has also had the settee, the chair corner, the bed corner, both pairs of school shoes, 2 pairs of my boots and countless socks
Penpin - hope today goes ok x
jc - hope the hiccups have gone - how annoying!!
nmlc - congrats on your weight loss and thank you for posting how you've done it. I think that the way to do it is a lifestyle change as you have done - which is something that I'm working on too. I'm swimming once or twice a week and eating a lot more salad and vegetables. My down falls are portion sizes, cheese and chocolate - all of which I'm very aware of so when I fall "off the wagon" it's easy to beat myself up about it and not get back on :o
jackieglasgow - that's a hard one and unfortunately not going to be an easy decision to make :( Hope that she is ok so that you don't have to make any decision at all x

    Morning one and all

I've come to the library to work on my business plan and am just getting my MSE fix before I get started as didn't have time before doing school run. DD2 has been speaking to me like I'm a piece of dirt on her shoe lately and despite me making it perfectly clear it's not acceptable and her apologising, she then goes and does it again the following day - so we had words last night and she went to bed early without a shower, so had to have one this morning ... which made me miss out on my MSE fix :( Also had a good heart to heart with DD1 last night and hopefully have ironed out some of her concerns.

OS wise - I need to have a quick S&S of the house today and run hoover round. Then sort out mountain of washing .... yep still not sorted that out!!! and want to get box in my bedroom done too. I've got some oranges to use up too but not sure quite what to do with them yet.

We're being taken out for dinner tonight which will be lovely :D

Hope everyone has a super day xxx

    Morning all!

PenPin- Hoping all goes well today, sorry to hear you're facing it so exhausted. :( Will pop in later to see if you were able to update.
Csarina- re: heating - somehow I thought it might go back on, lol
    jc- hiccups gone yet?

All this wine bottle opening does nothing for me . . . more of a Guinness girl myself :D

Much better day today, had the bed to myself as BH was booted out (due to snoring) so fell off to sleep without the need to try and 'rush' before he started. How much better the world seems when you've had a decent nights rest!

Laundry is in the WM, will be doing the first clean of the leather sofa in an effort to keep it nice and cream coloured - instead of waiting until it looks as if it's needed :) Salesman at the shop suggested just a monthly wipe over with weak washing up liquid solution. Also need to clear out the droopy flowers in a vase, hoover, find the replacement mattress pad out in the workshop, have a sort out of baking tins to see if I really need all that I've collected and decide what's next to be planted out, our peas are really taking off, so exciting :rotfl:

The IL's kindly gave us a huge pack of uncooked chicken pieces from M&S, it's seasoned (don't know what as they've removed the label) saying that it was way to spicy/hot for them. Must be over a kg of pieces, I don't like very spicy/hot food either, so will just rinse them off for me and leave as is for BH. That's tomorrows dinner sorted!

{{{hugs}}} to all who are poorly of body or spirit :)

    Morning all

Cool but quite bright this morning so far here but think we are forecast rain this pm. So hung bedding out at 5.30 this morning in the hope it will be dry when I get home from work. Wm left on with next load to be dried - it is neverending isn't it!!!

Missed thread yest as spent most of the day at the hospital for a check up and results following op I had in January. Consultant seemed pleased with results though one of the biopsy results was borderline and if I have anymore symptoms I will have to have hysterectomy but for the moment they are happy to wait and see.

Going to the caravan for the weekend tonight - I have really missed going for the past few weeks (as I went away with my DD's) so am really looking forward to this weekend. Have made a lasagna to take with us for tonight with garlic bread and salad and will have chicken portions stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon for tomorrow. Not made them up yet but then if it turns out to be good weather we can BBQ the chicken portions instead so covered either way!

((((Hugs)))) to anyone poorly or just fed up. I will try to catch up on thread when I get home from work if little puppy will behave long enough to get on the computer, I seem to spend half my time chasing him round to retrieve things, he has a nasty habit of running off with my (not so) smalls and dumping them outside on the lawn:eek: Shredded loo paper everwhere yest - he is certainly keeping me on my toes!

Hope you all have a brill day

Jackie, Why not call the hospital & find out how she is, then talk to the boys & ask if they want to go & see her?

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Good Morning Everyone. DS2 arrived to stay for a few days last night - he has many health issues, is hugely depressed and needed to "escape" for a few days. Have cancelled my plans to ensure he's not going to be left alone. Probably good for me too - but the stress is building!
OS-wise....hope to get sewing machine out later, have loads of material waiting to be transformed. Housework situation reasonable still - but still haven't collected the Christian Aid envelopes yet. Washing all done, but the ironing pile is in the process of reproducing at an alarming rate again. Toasted sandwiches for lunch, not yet sure about supper.
take care, and hope you all have a good day.
