Deb, to be honest, I think youd be better off with the shampoo as you will be doing all over and the ointment wont get into the skin like the shampoo can. I had diggs nibbling his legs in the night, so first thing this morning he had a soap bath
Thank goodness, such a relief not to hear him chomping at himself. 0 -
I only wish they made eye drops aswell as Ralph's dry eye gets worse this time of year and Ive got him on that optimmune which is ok, but well, its forever.
I wish they made eye products too - one of my boys gets eczma (sp?) around his eyes and they get soooo sore at this time of year - sometimes they are so scabby that his eyelashes fall out
. I bathe them twice a day and he has to have Maxitrol ointment applied. I wish I could find an alternative.
We bought the soap and spray at Crufts on special offer - excellent stuff

Bob occasionally has a flare up inside his groin, I use E45 on him and its usually gone the next morning. Often if he is itchy I give him half a Piriton Antihistamine and he's ok within the hour, that said, he had been fine since I stopped feeing him Bakers.
Jack on the otherhand will eat it regardless, celery, bananas, spiders etc etc lol0 -
Does it make any difference to how quickly you receive your order whether you order online or by phone?
My little one who I got last week is starting to itch, when she was found, as a stray 3 weeks ago the vet de-flead & wormed her. You can see darkish patches through her fur so I think the sooner I start using something the better.0 -
I ordered mine on Tuesday and it arrived about five minutes ago! Smells gorgeous. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

I've just ordered the bar shampoo & ear cleaner. Hopefully get it used before her skin gets bad as it does look as though she may have had past problems with her skin.0

It does smell interesting - I reckon I can smell citronella, lavender, tea tree and sandalwood in there!?
The smell does divide opinion though - I quite like it, though it is strong, my dad is not keen, my brother thinks it's vile, and his girlfriend said it smells like aromatherapy massage oils... as for Mickey (the dog) - he hates it!!
He spends about five minites after its been put on being very melodramatic and making a big show out of how cruel I am to him by making him smell of anything other than dogginess! He hares around rubbing his nose on the grass or carpet, snuffling and pulling faces that make him look like Kenneth Williams, trying to get the 'vile' stink out of his nostrils... still, it distracts him from scratching for a while!:rotfl:0 -
We have a westie, she is nearly 7 and barks at everything that moves in the garden. Birds fly over head, she runs up and down the garden chasing and barking at them which can be a pain when it is nice and quiet except for her. She howls away at sirens too which is so funny. Flys at the moment are causing her trouble as she goes mental when they are about and if you try and get a paper or something to squat them with, she goes nuts.
What does everyone else feed their Westies? We have trouble getting her to eat. She will eat things like fresh chicken, steak etc but leaves her biscuits. For breakfast she has fresh chicken and rice and for tea she has chicken and James Well Beloved biscuits which she spits out and leaves.
They are the most adorable and loyal little dogs too. One thing to consider if you are getting a Westie is that they need to go to the groomers every couple of months which can be quite costly too.0
