Same here, loved the previous series as it was useful but in a camp, kitch kind of way. Last night seemed to lack tips really although I liked the cooking I used to like the hostess bits and it was more about organsing than cleaning, running a house. Will give next week a chance!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
I'd never watched before because Anthea is one of those people I could punch, but watched tonight to see what the fuss was about and couldn't stop laughing at the baking beans! :rotfl:
Have to confess, the sisters houses looked a little like my house (the before bit, not after!) If only my family would pick up after themselves!

I have just discovered Anthea Turner - and I need her soooooooooooomuch
My house looks like the before, and my six month old DS will start crawling soon
What with being poorly when pregnant, having to empty one (extremely full) room to make a nursery and having new windows fitted two months before he arrived, my house looks awful!
But Anthea Turner has inspired me. Thank you so much for letting me know that she has a website. She may be the light, the path and the true way to get me back to sanity
I feel almost like I should start a new thread - the new path to enlightenment of Anthea Turner! DH may not be in the house as I type, but I can almost feel him wincing
T shirt folding? I missed that. Mine are all on hangers anyway. But thank you for the clue on folding fitted sheets. Definitely needed. I shall look out for the book. What a wonderful thread!
(Re-reading this, I don't think I am getting out enough!)Always another chapter0 -

Why don't you head over and join us on the Flylady thread? It's all about keeping house & getting organised/decluttered. We don't bite: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=474773

I think I shall join over at the flylady thread.
I have found most people on this forum really nice. I look forward to getting into it. I have to do something before the house explodes!

Hi,
Has anyone bought Anthea's Perfect Housewife book please?
I am tempted to buy it but if any of you already have it I would be interested in your opinions - good or bad.
Thanks.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I'm puzzled by the cous cous cake...was that a real recipe or did the woman just not know what to do with it?weaving through the chaos...0

I have her book - I've not got very far into it as I've been too busy to read it  BUT so far there doesn't seem to be anything that I didn't already know, but then I've been collecting household management books and been involved in household management websites for years :rotfl: Mind you I am only on page 19 and on "Storage Solutions" :rotfl: Alot of what I've spotted on a quick flick through seems to be stuff you would find here in OS.
I'm planning on settling down and reading it over the next few days (I'll be needing the break from a project I'm doing!) so I'll let you know more by next week with the speed at which I readCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
