    did you not notice that the box was not sealed when they got it for you, that's the first thing i look for and if has been opened i ask why.

    So how does this effect the Warranty? Would the op as the second owner (if it has indeed been sold and returned) be able to claim on a manufacturers warranty? Most warranties are not transferrable, I thought?

    Exactly, that's good customer service. But what do you expect them to do with returned items, bin them?
    I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!

    The OP was offered a product which they were free to inspect, and the OP subsequently offered money which was accepted by the store.
