That would be awesome, I dont mind paying something towards. I just cant afford new. But I am hoping I cant apply for the surestart grant soon (Im 28 weeks on saturday). So I can afford to buy some bits 2nd hand... and I am hoping to save at least £100 for emergancies... as once my DRO goes through I will be stuck if ever anything breaks or I need birthday presents etc. My son is 2 when the baby is due so I am panicking a little now as to what to do, what I can afford etc. eeek!
I Dont want anything for them i will just be glad they are going somewhere that they will be used and appreciated. I will pm you sunday morning if everything goes to plan and you can tell me what you need :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Just a few things:
1. When is your next ante natal appointment? Please speak to your midwife about how tired you are feeling, there may be a simple explanation.
2. Do you have a Sure Start near to you? They may be able to help with equipment, clothing & support.
3. Enquire whether you are entitled to a maternity grant under the terms of your DRO & in your financial situation.
4. Has the DRO taken account of the fact that you will be a family of 3 within the next 4 months?0 -
Mum of 1 - Firstly (((hugs))) you seem to have an awful lot going on at the moment. Get yourself over to the debt free board and they will be able to work out where they can save you money and best advice on what to do in your situation as the debt is probably the biggest problem right now. You need to try and fit in a bit of relaxation time for yourself (very hard with kids) but maybe once your son is in bed or at his dads you could take a bit of time, have a nice warm bath (johnsons baby bath nightime is lovely and relaxing) and chill out. I would put off the ou course until next year unless you are planning on returning to work soon? Do you go to any toddler groups near you? Some are really cheap and its nice to sit down with a tea whilst thekiddies are running around burning off their energy. If you are planning to breastfeed then it will not be practical for dad to have the baby overnight until you feel happy to express (and I mention this as I was unable to express:() so maybe work out some daytime contact (it will have to be inbetween feeds to start with) and then agree to work towards overnights when you can either express or stop breastfeeding, take one evening when your son is away to work this out (this will be another thing off your list)
You will find that once baby arrives you will have a bit more energy and be a bit more mobile:)0
