NPower £200 cashback
Comments
-
(Well, nPower have often offered up to £245 for switching - standard reliable £105 annual bonus and £80 to £140 cashback. So £200 is not unusual. As to how and when and if it is received...)
But I would say a company that disconnects the most people is a good thing and a positive sales advertisement.0 -

Just spent 20 minutes on hold, waiting for someone to tell me again that they weren't giving back a £200 dual fuel discount...yet my memory tells me otherwise...anyone else recall this or is time to move into the funny farm! I also seem to recall having arguments with numerous customer disservice staff about the bailiffs coming round to pick up the £75 odd quid I didn't owe...(7 months to realise they'd had this money the previous year in DD overpayments - rubbish service but they do excel in cocking up their own stuff...)
Grrr.
:rotfl:Too true! I'm almost sure I skimmed over an advert for a £200 total "discount" in the paper yesterday but I would suggest that it's merely a gimmick - ie only refunding money that they've already taken off you via your DD (assuming you agree to stay with them & on DD) in reality0 -

Unfortunately for you Energy Watch & even Ofgem didn't agree!
See page 19 overall findings item 3.5 for example.

See page 19 overall findings item 3.5 for an example of just how little they could find to criticise.

I've used it in all my recent dealings with them:D0 -
this is the number I use...having said all i've said though, i spoke to a man yesterday and managed to get my DD reduced by £42 a month...his name's Keith Rumbold...and he's actually a quirk in the company, having spoken to an assortment of harpies, harridans, trolls and ogres, this one appears to be human - the number above is useful and you can ask by name for this bloke. He is - astonishingly for Npower - HELPFUL....0

If you have a leaflet and details then I would be happy with the deal. Not sure how plushchris can say npower is the worst, has he dealt with all the suppliers.
Sounds a good deal and may be short lived I would go for it, unless you can find a comparable fixed price deal that may be better with poss increases around
hope it helps
good luck0 -

Hmm, Npower & helpful (just like Kim Yeovil & serious comments) don't usually go together. Are you sure you rang the right supplier?0 -
I've just had a cold call at the door from NPower with regards to switching to them.
With the promise of £200 cashback for the first year, I obliged. My monthly debits with British Gas are £20 electricity and £36 gas, and these have reduced to £16 electricity and £25 gas with NPower, taking into account the cashback amount.
So is NPower any good? And would I save even more money by signing to an online tarriff. I've got 14 days to change my mind, but the £200 cashback is far more than British Gas.
Any one else had these calls recently?
Hi.
Speaking only from my own NPower experience, Ive been treated fairly well. I was on Sign online 10 paperless bills, duel fuel payed by monthly DD with an annual spend of approx £947.
I changed to Sign online 18 over six months ago and there seems to be savings for me. I've just done the figures, from my bills, and Ive estimated an annual spend of approx £870 at the current rates.
I get £50 discount for each fuel type and every six months my DD is adjusted, both up and down as required.
It might be a good idea to do some more enquiries as to which plan is going to be best for you.
Hope this helps good luck and regards. Allen.0 -

For some recent dealings...
I agree that if it suits you then go for it, just be aware of the tricks they get up to, cant say (yet) whether any of the other suppliers are better or worse:(0
