advice on selling nappy cakes.

Options
hi all,

i am looking to set up a small business online selling nappy cakes and baby gifts. I had a meeting with a business coach from be enterprising and i need to know how many people are actually buying nappy cakes and how many people would be intrested in purchasing them in the future.

i would be so grateful if people could answer a few questions for me please.

have you bought a nappy cake in the past?

would you consider buying a nappy cake in the future?

what budget would you have for a nappy cake?
A £10-£20

B £20-30

C £30-£40

Thanks in advance to all who take the time to reply.

Hi, yes I have bought a nappy cake in the past and it cost £25. But I wouldn't buy another one as now I have seen how it was put together and how easy it was to recreate, I just make my own nowadays.

looks to me like a fancy version of those things people put over loo rolls.
Never heard of them (pre googling) - wouldn't honestly buy one. sorry.

FYI a nappy cake is (from my limited knowledge) a towel, babygro, baby mitt, baby sock and toy bundle made up to look like a cake

fab idea, and when i got given one on birth of ds2 it was the one thing that everyone commented on!

Not quite lol, as i said they are baby grows, mitts, socks, towels all made to look like a cake..although i can see where you are coming from with the loo roll thing :)

I think its a nice idea, I've seen baby sock roses at my local card shop and though they were sweet too. I'm preggers though so probably biased.

However if I'd know what a nappy cake was, and they were marketed locally I would probably consider buying one for a friend/family member if they were expecting. Pity the new mother doesn't get a real cake in there too!! lol
