If you are a man and wear your hair short then the best investment you can make is to buy some hair clippers.

You can get them for less than £20 and you'll be guaranteed to save a fortune in haircuts and never have to queue at the barbers again!
  • Good tips all round. I also recommend toenail scissors (clean toenail scissors) to do around your ears for me. The curve means you have less chance of cutting your ear off!!

Hmmm I might be brave and try this tonight... only for a trim though. I have been doing my own fringe for ages (can't get it exactly how I want though) as the hair dressers never get it remotely how I want.

Im training to be a hairdresser , I've done my 1st year one more year to go. :j We trainees are always looking for willing volunteers to have trims etc.

I would be willing to swap a haircut with people near me for a few pounds or a cooked meal or a treat (chocolates or cake etc any treat is good for us students)
If you dont know any trainee hairdressers try your local college. In most they have an salon where the public can go in with an appointment and get most things done cheaply. I know a cut and blow dry would cost £10 in our salon a wash and blow dry are FREE. shampoo and sets are FREE and always under tutuion from the tutors.
If you need a treat go have a wash and blow dry for FREE.:D:D:D:D

Mens haircuts only a few pounds but mostly FREE if we need to get assesments done.
wanting to win a wedding :p:p

  • This ponytail cut is exactly what my hairdresser did to me a few weeks ago... looks fabulous and I'll be giving it a try myself (with OH's help!) from now on...
