Thanks Smartie24 for the tip!
Now, does anyone have an expiry date for these codes? Looking at the films out at the moment, no point using them until there's something decent...
TIA!
Don't quote me on this but I'm sure I read somewhere it was valid until the end of either June or July!English by birth. GEORDIE by the grace of God.0 -
received four minutes after contacting filmology, having heard nothing since 29 April!
1. Check that the code you have received is 16 digits long and starts “KGB...”
2. Go to cineworld, in the top right of the site you will see the “Book Tickets” section.
3. Choose the cinema, film, date and time as appropriate.
4. Select the quantities of tickets you want to buy.
5. Click on “Enter Promo Code” and input your KGB Code.
6. Your discount will be shown on screen (please note that no booking fee will be levied on the KGB Deals £1 ticket, however if you purchase additional tickets from Cineworld then the normal online booking fee will apply)
7. Input all of your credit / debit card details to pay the remainder of the tickets, even if the total comes to £0.00 you will still need to input your card details.
8. Complete the transaction.
9. On arrival at the cinema put the card you used to pay in the collection machine in the foyer and your tickets will be dispensed.
Hope that helps!0 -
Went to see the new Robin Hood last night (Wednesday 12th May) using the tickets. Booked the tickets the night before using the KGB codes and bank card to register, used my debit card in the ticket machine in the cineworld foyer and bob's your uncle, fanny's your aunt, worked a treat! Really enjoyed the Film and even more so since it only cost £2 for me and my wife to go! Thanks Money Saving Experts Everywhere! Hope they do this offer again!:j0

I tried to use the voucher code from the 2nd corrected email and it was accepted by the Cineworld site, so I booked a ticket to see Iron Man 2 at Luton, 5:30pm today. i received an email confirming that all was well, and the KGB rebate of £8 was applied.
I arrived, put my credit card in the machine, and it promptly gave 3 Vb Script errors and then issued me with a receipt and no ticket. I told the attendant no ticket had been received and he told me it was a problem with the KGB vouchers. I informed him that I knew about that initial problem, and had indeed used the 2nd corrected voucher, which was also then accepted by the Cineworld website and my booking had been confirmed, thus confirming it's validity and Cineworld's acceptance of the contract. He told me again it was KGB's problem and I would have to buy a ticket if I wanted to see the film, and to contact KGB to sort it out - he also mentioned they had had plenty of customers with the same problem (implying they had all been turned away also, unless they coughed up for a fullprice ticket). I then asked to speak to the Manager, and the attendant smirked at me and went off to get him. The Manager (Adam Rose) then repeated everything the attendant had said, and told me it was a KGB problem, despite me reminding him that the Cineworld website had confirmed the use of my 2nd voucher, and had not mentioned anything about this apparantly known problem at the time, nor in the followup confirmation email, which was why I had travelled all the way to the cinema to use my booked ticket. He would not give me a ticket unless I paid full price, and when I told him I would complain to his Head Office unless he gave me my confirmed ticket, he didn't appear at all concerned and I left very annoyed.
I will be making a formal complaint tomorrow to Cineworld and I've also emailed the Filmology link in the voucher email; I'll let you know what the outcome is.0 -

hi
Ive just tried to use the amended code onthe cineworld website only to find that the booking site doesnt accept my debit card so i now have no way of using my code.
I have emailed KGB to see if i can redeem my code any other way. I find it really poor that no warning or information was provided with this deal regarding which cards could or couldnt be used to redeem the codes.0
