Don't you just think that night shift sucks!!! phatbear or maybe that is just my jaded view on life. We have 3 under 7 at home the youngest 2 next month and at the moment this the easiest option for us as a family. To cap it all the place I work in has a resident spook. Wish it was solid I'd smack it !!!!!!!!!!!!

Night shifts are the big mans way of saying you done something bad in a previous life, still I managed to get some extra kip when i was driving home yesterday morning when i stopped at a red light i dozed off for about 2 secs, still it could have been worse i guess

Guess I must have been one big man in the last life and still paying for it now. Gosh that must have been scary for you falling asleep at the wheel, Worst I've done is fall asleep at the staff meeting- snoring, HOW EMBARRISING - but there we go sh*t happens.
What do you do on your shift? mine is mainly washing, ironing, cleaning and cleaning up the odd bodily fluids that God decides that I am out of practice dealing with. I just love his sense of fair play and justice, I must have been one bad burger the last time around.

As i said it could be a lot worse a colleague of mine once told me how he had fallen asleep at the wheel and was woken up when he hit the curb, however it wasnt the curb on his side of the road now that would ave done it for me.

I have to admit ive recently become a bit of an expert, during briefings, at falling asleep its quite an art form ive mananged to develop.

My shift tends to be 10 hours of hassleing travellers and generally being as scary looking as possible, and in between that i drink a lot of tea and partake in the odd biscuit or two

An art form eh! how do you get away without the snoring? It's a dead giveaway. The scary bit - I'm paid to be very nice, a pittance really but it pays the bills. Leads you in to a double brainwave thing though, Reply to question, Yes love what can I do to help you, Real thought - You know I'm here at your beck and call for 11 hours why don't you just keep abusing the power you have over me and make me walk up three flights of stairs at least 3 times an hour whilst trying to tackle a mountain of washing and ironing that is as endless as the skyline.

I guess im lucky cos i dont snore, however i have woken up to having something scribbled on my face or being handcuffed to my chair etc, still i always get my own back.

The vast majority of my work seems to be answering silly questions from equally stupid people, the trouble is because i deal with a lot of foreign travellers i try and use my legendary english sense of humor which of course to a dis-gruntled german etc goes down like a lead balloon, its made even more annoying when people approach me with problems that have nothing to do with my job, this always seems to occur when we are after a particular individual etc, but as ever I try and be polite when all the time the more evil side of me just wants to scream in their faces and tell them to go forth and multiply
