Glad you liked the kooks, their cool! Spending a quiet weekend with my son. He normally lives with his mum, but is staying for a few days as its the summer holidays. We're chilling out together!

We had the nieces round lots this summer. I don't think chilling quite covers it though. Struggling not to lock them in a cupboard is a little closer

That's true:D i'm not used to the noise, as normally i live alone. That and the fact my boy's a footie addict and now the season has started again, its been not stop live games and highlights:o

I know it's a bit early to be resurrecting this thread but I just wanted to let those of you who have been asking after my grandmother the latest news.

Sadly it's not what we hoped for, after a ct scan they found a tumour. We don't know what the next step will be yet but an op is a certainty now. She's not a young woman and her health has been declining over the past few years so this is very scary.

Thanks for the pm's I have sent over the last few days, its nice to know that people care, even if they don't know you from adam.

Hi Mav.

I'm trying but it's been a long and hard couple of days and I think and early night will be in order (if I can sleep lol) I have done some reading and some of what I've learnt was actually quite reassuring. The tumour is in her liver, did you know they can remove up to 75% of a persons liver and it "regenerates"!

We don't won't know for sure until she has some exploratory surgery if the tumour is malignant or not, but either way the fact that it is there at all explains a lot of things that have been happening to her in the last year or so. Strangely it's a small comfort to know there is a possibility her illnesses are due to something medical rather than just old age. After all we all know there is no cure to getting old.

Looby - really sorry to hear your news, I really really hope that things are better than they seem and that your grandma improves following her operation/treatment.
