Suppose one of the things I like best about my job is when one of the young people in my care will approach me and sign or use pecs instead of using aggression to get my attention.

Work with severly autistic young people.

We have some downs as well which can be soooo stubborn but are lovely.:D

One of the worst syndromes has got to be smith maguiness.:eek:

Mandi, as much as i hate sputum, i once found a much worse substance from someone very much old enough to know better. If you get what i mean, men just can't leave things alone, White on white is not easy to see!:p

Its always funny afterwards. But not at the time. That said we all wear gloves now all the time no matter what

Our young people see the gloves as quite threatening. But we now have a couple of hep + and are not allowed to know who so wear gloves for almost everything.

We then get moaned at for going through so many.

do they know who's benifit they are for? We obviously are protecting them from us, and us from them but not all patients get it. That said neither do some girls about durex

Well I'm not a nurse. or a night worker...just up and around with Restless Legs Syndrome !(its twenty to five here ).

Having said that, the concentration required on this board has stopped them twitching, so ...thanks all for your welcomes, I'll be off while the going's good!
