How often do you clean your deep fat fryer?

I really wish I had the room for a deep fat fryer. My kitchen is so small (6ft by 9ft) that I can't fit anything else in. I have to cook everything in the oven or grill.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Value potatoes are cheaper than oven chips too

My husband brought a deep fat fryer with him when he moved in, and I wasn't keen. However once he made a batch of chips in it, I've never fancied oven chips again. They're yummy :cool:Here I go again on my own....0 -
I usually clean mine when the oil gets dirty and the chips don't taste as good.
I bought some astonish cleaning tablets for mine as the inside is not removable. you just draiin the oil, then fill it a third full of water then boil the water with one tablet and it cleans the inside then all I have to do is clean teh lid and sides...0 -
