I Haven't got a clue where the house is - thats what i think!
Your friends will know where it is i guess, but chances of them buying are slim.
Why not put streetview and map like they do on rightmove etc?
It is an innovative way of selling, but if you really are serious then you need other info.......like a price!
ps house does look lovely, but location is more important :cool2:

If someone is searching for a house of your style, in your area, in your price range..... how will they find your Facebook page? What will lead them there?
Footnote; I just followed the link - you have to be a Facebook member to see the property!
Forgive me if I'm missing the point, but I thought the idea would be to MAXIMISE the number of people seeing your property, rather than restricting them....... nobody is going to join Facebook just to see your house.0 -
The house looks lovely. There are lots of free sites you can advertise on, if you google them you will get loads, it would be worth putting on them as well. Certainly your local Gumtree & link to the facebook page.
I know that I've seen houses on You Tube for sale, don't know how you do it.
Good luck with the sale. Also have you looked to see how much ebay charges? I know that it's not commission based.0 -

Hermum... Thank you & I shall take a look, I never thought of gumtree!
Googler.... I see your point, I'm just testing the 'water' so to speak at the moment. I am looking into cheaper methods to maximise peeps seeing it

You're not maximising anything at the moment.
Visualise how people will search online for a house in your area, if they're not already looking directly on Rightmove or any other property site that dominates your part of the country.
They'll probably start with a search engine like Google. What will they type in for a search term? I'd suggest -
'property (your street)'
'houses for sale (your town)'
'property for sale (your county)'
'3 bedroom detached (your town)'
'bungalow (your county)'
and all sorts of variations thereof.
Try these in google with your street/town/county, and see which property sites are at the top of the search results. These are the sites you want your property to be in. Not the ones that are on the second or third page of search results, but those at the top of the first page.0 -
I'm afraid I can't see the Facebook page as I'm at work (IT block such sites), which I guess is another drawback as I can see Rightmove and Globrix. My question is, do you have a HIP? On the basis that you say you're just testing the water I'm guessing you don't.
(I do not know the answer to this question and am therefore genuinely interested in the answer) - Is it not illegal to actively market a house without a HIP?
We're considering selling and have been looking at houses over the last few weeks - whilst what you are doing is really innovative there is no way I am going to start trawling the net for individual house sites when such sites as Globrix and Rightmove exist. Doing what you are doing would suggest to me that you are not a motivated seller or a scam artist and actually put me off. Ultimately by not being on Rightmove or Globrix you are massively reducing your marketing potential.
Apologies for being all doom and gloom - good luck with the sale.0
