Yes, would love to see more comps and have the choice of whether i enter or not
Korky the only reason I still post the CUTE/Busy Time magazine entry details is because they used to be postcard entry only & lots have won from it x

As I say to Korky, I often buy the mags.

Please keep doing so, I like to see what's in them before I buy them to see if there's any prizes I would want the kiddies to win :) I post a few too which is entry only xx
    :) xx JoJo xx :)

No, £1.50 cost is high enough
:o can i ask something please, there's been a few comps in this thread to enter comps but you have to buy the magazine which costs over £2.00 to send the EF's off/stuff from the mag to be able to enter etc which gives the peeps the choice to buy the mag to enter, tbh can't see the difference in posting a comp/text that costs £2 to enter if we're allowed to post a comp that costs £2.00 to buy a mag :o

Korky, that's actually a very valid point :)

Just to add my tuppence worth. I, like others here, initially voted No because I no longer enter any text comps over 50p (after ending up with a mobile bill for over £100 one month!) but I can see other's points of view about the £1.50 limit. I actually don't mind if we do get the limit raised, I just won't bother with the more expensive ones. :D

As for the number of people voting in the poll, I too am rather surprised. I see people mentioning all the time that they don't do postals and it always seems to be the same people posting and thanking in here, so the high input does seem strange. I think we may end up with a slightly skewed result through casual voters who aren't aware of the whole discussion behind the poll.

Anyway, keep up all the good work, people. I've had some fantastic wins in this thread! :T
Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.

I also would change my vote if i could, iv only just started entering comps in this thread, and only enter ones i can afford too.
If people want to enter £2 comps then that should be up to them.

hi, i understand that, but are they still postcard entry, so you have to buy the mag which costs over £2 to enter?
same as the choice as entering a text comp over £2 ?

I thought exactly the same Korky!! I don't ever spend £2 on a text, maybe in a very very rare case for something I desperately want, but I have absolutely no problem posting them if people want them. I do, however buy magazines when people post what's in them & they often cos much more than just £2!!

I don't think the poll has solved very much :rotfl:

that's what i'm saying sweetie :) if we can post a comp to buy a mag that the EF or whatever to enter costs over £2 why can't we post a text comp over £2 ? some of my mags cost well over £2 but they have the entry under £2 but again i buy specialist mags that are EF only & could post the answers here but peeps would have to go out & buy the mag, so what's the difference in posting them ?

I think the way the magazines issue is got around is for example. Magazine is £2 but has 8 competitions in then it works out 25p per comp. Its how I always interpreted it anyhow lol.

Just ignore me I have math on the brain :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

This competition I posted on the main thread has a freephone entry as well, any point in posting it here or is it safe to assume everyone who enters phone ones will be doing them online anyway?

Bad news about ITV's The Chase not having free entry this week, they maybe testing the water for all the other ITV shows:(, double their normal prize and unlimited entries.

So if the £2 text comp is declined by the powers that be, then posting details in a magazine that costs over £2 should also cease. Innit?

This week's (commencing 14th June) competition for The Chase only has a phone entry (I don't know why).

To enter the competition, entrants must dial the PRTS phone number on 0901 29 39 321 and follow the instructions given on the PRTS phone line to correctly answer the competition entry question as stated in the programme, and entrants must also correctly answer a second randomly-selected competition entry question as indicated on the PRTS phone line.

Eligible entrants who have answered both competition entry questions correctly will be entered into a draw to win the prize. Failure to answer both competition entry questions correctly will result in that entrant being ineligible to enter the draw and their answer(s) will be deemed void.

Each call costs £1.00 from BT landlines. Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more. There is no refund for the cost of misdialled calls or where a caller fails to correctly answer any competition entry question.

    FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The answer to the on-screen question was C.

This is my first visit to the phone entry thread so hope I've done it right. I realise Dalkirst usually posts these when they are available to enter online but he wasn't online today and hasn't posted it since, so hope I'm not upsetting anyone by posting this.

Sorry to be a pain :o but do you have the answer as well as C at all? It's just when I use the telephone to enter comps I normally say, for example, 'C - africa' as opposed to just 'C' IYSWIM?

    Thanks for posting chick xx
