Are they saying that once it is built they will do get you onto google and if this is the case, how can they be sure that they can do this if they haven't even seen your completed site plus content?
They would be offering him either prime seller or search engine optimisation.
It is possible and definitely can be a worth while service.0 -
from what i gather it's sponsered listings, adwords type thing.0

Can you post the name of the company? Maybe someone who is good at this sort of stuff can take a look and see if they can help you.
As for sponsored listings/adwords, you can do that yourself I believe but this is different to getting your website to the top of the organic search engine listings (I think)!0 -

Correct
Getting someone to optimise you on a search engine can be extremely worthwhile especially if they are good.
Adwords tend to be a waste of time and money.0 -
Weirdlittleman are sponsored listings the same as adwords? I know that you see stuff popping up on the right hand side of google pages and sometimes at the top.
To be honest I tend to look straight at the organic listings and not bother with the advert style listings!0 -

There very similar I believe where the company pays per referral click. Obviously those on google are very expensive so I would be surprised if it is a sponsered link - unless its an obscure site - so more likely adwords.0 -
OP have you paid anything yet?0

Hmmm - the website is littered with typo's - I certainly wouldn't trust them to promote anything. Their terms leave a lot to be desired too, especially the bit about chargebacks!

yes i agree the terms seem excessive. and yep i gave them cc details, thought that may give me some cover if probs occured, so i reckon the charged it as soon as i got off the phone.0
