distance selling regs?

hi there, i agreed with a company that cold called me to use them to get my business website, not built yet, listed on the 1st page of google. that evening i emailed them back to say that i didn't reckon it was suitable for me and wanted to cancel the agreement. i thought that i would be covered with the distance selling regs. the compant are now being awkward about cancelling claiming that dsr don't apply to businesses, is this the case? am i now stuck with a service i don't want?

DSR is a consumer regulation and does not apply to B2B transactions.0

There should still be a 7 day cancellation period whether it's a B2B transaction or not0

ye just read up and dsr and it is purely for consumers. arosetti do ye have any sources i could check this out. they are going to phone me back tomorrow and i'd like to know where i stand.

so what is the deal then am i stuck with it? the last email i had from them before the phone calls about why i want to cancel asked me to reply with the subject title yes, to confirm my email address and that i agree with the t&c's. i replied saying that it had been cancelled and to contact the sales rep. whom i emailed and phone to let know that i would like to cancel it. i did quote the dsr rules which i now know apply only to consumers.

By saying should, I think A Rosetti is just letting us know what she intends to put in her next election manifesto.Weirdlittleman wrote: »What a load of tosh.
A Rosetti please stop posting false information.

You either need to rely on their goodwill or for them to breach the contract otherwise it is binding0 -
oh dear, starting to feel that may be the case. guess i'll try saying since i never replied with a yes to confirm email and agree to t&c's. see where that gets me.0

OP I fail to see how they can get your website listed on the first page of google if it isn't built yet. Are they saying that once it is built they will do get you onto google and if this is the case, how can they be sure that they can do this if they haven't even seen your completed site plus content?0
