With the electoral roll though, the person might have opted out, so might not be included on the edited electoral roll that's open to inspection.
Have you thought about a letter asking for help to the local paper in the area where they were last known to live?
Hi
The FULL unedited electoral roll has to be available for inspection in one location in the Council, including for those of us who have opted out. Usually this is the main local library. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
I can't see the location on the electoral roll, at all, on 192.com without this one-off payment
Annoyingly my f-i-l was quite a talented genealogist with the mormon church, but in recent years has quite severe dementia and would likely not recognise his immediate family let alone be able to help with this (He lives at the opposite end of the country and he and dh had irregular contact at the best of times, but I do try and keep them in touch).
That said dh believes the missing brother, wife and daughter were also a part of the mormon church, so although they're not showing when I do a search on their site part of me thinks maybe I could get in touch with the church for help? Although who specifically I don't knowhey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried

Yes, I do have a location for the wedding but it was back in 1978 so is just another location to add to a huge list of possibles.
I have tried facebook but its not a totally uncommon name (Hodder) and the daughter herself would, I guess, be at least 50 now (I know over 50s are totally capable of using facebook, just possibly less likely). If they had an advanced search of some sort I guess it would be easier as I have the daughter's husbands name too (cant find him either)

My friend asked the same question a few months ago and a very kind MSE member called Bronnie helped big time. You could maybe try sending her a PM maybe she can help.
Good luck with your search CHris n TJRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Just from research, the mormon church keep a detailed record of all their members, so maybe it would be worth getting in contact with the local church, as they may be able to assist. Might not work, but its probably worth a shot.Think if you type LDS into google, you should come up with a website that you can search the closest one to you. They a re very family orientated, so im sure they may be willing to help. good luck0

The findmypast website www.findmypast.co.uk also has the latest electoral roll on its website, (not the full version). They currently have a 14 day free trial offer but their cheapest payment option is £6.95 which is a lot cheaper than the 192 site0

Have you tried the address finder on 192, my half brother was still living in the area where he got married which I found on Ancestry, so I put that in and his name address and phone number came up. If you have an idea where they might be living it is worth a try.You do have to put in a location unfortunately but it is free. Guess I was lucky. Good luck anyway. Have you tried looking on bt.com and searching for him in a particular city? If you start with where they got married that might be a good start and esp. if he has 2 initials it might get you somewhere?£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
