Just can't believe the arrogance of the union/staff here.

How hard done to are they? are they asking existing staff to take massive cuts or work extra hours with no extra pay like many other companies around the country?

    No.

The country is on its knees and everyone and anyone who's got a job at the moment whether they hate it or not at least appreciate it. God forbid but the damage this is doing to BA could have the counter effect. If it brings the company down then the greedy staff have only themselves to blame when they're on the dole queue, reminiscing about the good old BA days
  • Hi,

Do we just have to wait for BA to release details of canceled flights, or can we contact BA directly to find out?

Keep checking the BA website as that is where the latest information will be posted as soon as they know.

No point calling BA IMO as they won't know yet.
  • Senior trolley dollies on £65k a year plus free and discounted flights around the world worth thousands plus more days off work than on and they still are not happy. BA can't sustain £5 million pounds a day losses, no business can. They will all be on the dole queue shortly.
Wake up and smell the coffee guy's, the gravy train is over and you are still better paid than any other glorified waiter/waitress!

This is so true, I live next door to these people. Never ever at work, one has a second job to give him something to do with all his spare time. Porsche siting on the drive. What other waiter can afford that! The ash cloud caused one trip to be missed, he has not been at work for the last 3 months there is so much time off in between.

This is killing BA and then the unionists wont have a job.

I didn't even consider BA at any price when booking my flights to the States last month. They could have been £70 cheaper and I still wouldnt have flown with them because of the risk of all this.

How many others are like me? How much longer can BA sustain this?
