If it has a year's tax on it then I'd maybe pay £350 to £400 - no more (cash in the tax?)
You need to remember that buying a car at this end of the market is an absolute minefield and whilst you may be honest about the car's condition and maintainance, most people won't be - this means that unfortunately people will assume you're lying about the car's condition and will factor in the fact it might need some money spending on it to get it through it's MOT.0 -

I'm with Kilty on this one.
Even WITH full years tax/ MOT I wouldn't pay loads more for a R reg 106.
No tax/MOT I'd be surprised if someone threw £200 at you.
Good luck, and well done if you can get near to what your asking though.0 -

Ive already been low-balled £300 but i think why are there so many other cars at that price then with little mot/tax if noones willing to pay it? and the same with fsh and tax/mot at double the price? i cant see why this price is wrong when its half the price of the car when tax/mot/bodywork fixed. I had a mechanic come round and he said its in great nick, his gf who was the buyer just didnt want to have a car without the trim.0 -
Yeh. Value of a car does seem to plummet with no mot.0

I paid £475 for a diesel, with 6 months MOT and 2 months tax, nearly 3 years ago. tbf it was a phase 1, not a phase 2, but in good condition. I was thinking of updating so I've had a look on ebay, and I haven't seen them go for any more, probably less to be honest for R to T reg.0

I sold my caa-ar, I sold my caa-ar, 45 minutes a-go-o! £600, had daily enquiries (most being 3 today) since advertising in autotrader 5 days ago (free sites 2 days ago) and two viewings - one being a mechanic who was happy with it all. Seems my pricing was realistic.0

Like Scotsman says, some people don't know how much to pay for a car......luckily for sellers.0
