As per the title and I am worried that they will show scuff marks, more than fabric, but I would like other opinions please.

I have a modern red leather sofa (two actually a three seater and a two seater). They're OK to sit on (a bit cold in the winter if you're not wearing trousers) and mine have the added plus of being cat free because my cats don't seem to like the feel of leather on their paws.
When I had fabric sofas before, I was forever getting rid of cat hair. Not a problem now."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
My leather suite is almost 20 years old
Ok so it looks it now and is more than ready for replacing. I`ve had 4 suites over the years and this one is by far the best. When we have finished all the messy work in the house we shall be buying a new leather one.
Easy to keep clean always looks nice, one thing to beware of is the little metal studs on jeans pockets, these can scuff - oh and Jeff Banks jeans with the big stupid metal logo on the back pocket  these things aside i can highly recommend a leather suite.

PS our cat likes it and she sits high up on the back cushions, she`s never clawed at it though.Planning on starting the GC again soon

As long as you don't have cats, leather beats fabric for wear hands down. Furniture Village have some nice suites, we love our corner unit from there0

Why not the cats then? Have you had a bad experience? Ours has never marked it at all.
We used to have three cats at one time and they never marked it either, when we had a fabric suite they did though, naughty claws in everything.
Maybe i just have well behaved cats

I can second that. Furniture Village is where mine came from and they are great.
I actually phoned them after the sofas were delivered to say thank you because the delivery guys were really helpful and helped my other half get our old sofa out."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

Not me personally but my friend despairs of her cat who seems to like climbing up the arms of her suite, never touched her fabric one! LOL0 -
I have a leather suite and a cat - and I love them both

The cat doesn't claw the leather (he used to claw the fabric one) and when he comes in with muddy boots and walks all over the pale cream suite, it just wipes off.
Must admit though, in winter I do use a throw as the leather can be a bit cold.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Had one for about 16 years now. Doesn't take too kindly to nail varnish being spilled and have marks from peeling some errant weetabix off it, but it's withstood 2 kids and still looks pretty good when cleaned. Starting to lose a bit of the support now though.0
