hey folks, i',m due to renew my contract at the end of the year, and the likely thing is i won't be staying with tmobile as their coverage in my area is shocking at best.
i'm looking to get a blackberry for me and the misses and was just wondering if people on here have them?
if so can you say which model you have and what network/price plan you're on?
just looking for general research really
cheers
Deano

I have a Pearl 8120 on Orange, and loved it, I was on the Racoon 20, which was 200 minutes of cross network calls, 100 texts, for £20, but you have to add the £5 per month Blackberry Internet on, but it was a really good phone, when I was upgrading last week I was wanting the Bold 9700, but decided to go for a HTC Desire instead.0

i know they're bringing out a new Pearl with a standard keypad which will appeal to the wife0

i've just upgraded to a curve on orange, same plan as jo_f and i love it!!
fab that you can get your e-mails etc, plus you can instant message other people who have a blackberry for free... handy for you and your wife!0 -
i have the blackberry bold (9000 model) had it a year now and im with 3, i get unlimited internet (although it is capped to 1GB) unlimited texts and 500 minutes for £30.00 per month.
Have to say i love my blackberry!

the IM addition to the blackberry is what has swayed me over to them and not the iphone.
voadfone seem to have some good deals for the Storm 2 which has caught my eye0 -
Hi deano23285, I've been looking for the same thing! Heard some things about tmobile, and don't really want to go with them.
Just had a bit of a shop around... virgin does 400 mins, 3000 texts, unlimited net (1GB) and email for £25!! Pretty good really. Orange are at £27.50 for 400 mins an unlimited texts (surely the same as having 3000? No one uses that many, do they?!), and net and email. both are 24 month contracts.
Haven't heard much about Virgin internet however... it was slow for me when i was on pay as you go, but then again I had a rubbish phone!
My friend has 3 and she says the net is terrible, cuts out when it wants etc, and she has a good phone. Might just be the area however.0 -
Vodafone and O2 also have decent deals0

I've just upgraded to a Blackberry Bold 9700 in White (which is available in store now - the website is still showing it as pre-order for some reason?) it's a fab phone, and looks great. I'm with Vodafone and got 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb internet for £35.00 on an 18month contract (24 month costs £30.00). Might be slightly more pricey than others, but the internet speed is really fast (practically the same as my home broadband).
Only had it a few days, but I love it already!Common sense just isn't that common any more....0 -
