Ive never had a bill from Eon :-(Only ever had a final demand :-(

It is possible you have been billed on transposed reads - this means your night usage (which is possibly going to be higher during winter due to electric heating) is being billed on your day rate and your day usage being billed on the cheaper night tariff.

If I was you I would take 2 reads a few hours apart - the reading that moves on will be the one that should be billed on the day rate. You can then check this against your bill.

I'd also be dubious as to whether £23 a month is going to cover future usage in an all electric property. It will possibly be OK during summer but you don't stand a chance of this being enough in winter.

im not at home at the mi, im at my moms using the computer :-(

Off the top of my head, all the digi meter says is:

    1 16478
    4 2746
    T 19225

Im assuming the "1" is the day rate and the "4" i the night rate? it doesnt actually say day or night :-(

Youll have to excuse me, as this is my first place so im new to all of this :-(

unfortunatly 1 dosent always mean day rate, the way to work it out is by taking a reading then take another an hour later and see which has moved, this will be the day reading - then write down the meter number and give this to eon as they might be billing you wrongly, have they ever asked you to check your meter numbers to make sure they are billing you for the right plot now? xxx

The problem appears to be that you are on Economy 7 but using much more electricity during the day. Either:
    1) the readings are the wrong way round,
    2) you need to come off economy 7 and onto a stndard tariff, or
    3) you need to use less during the day and more during the night

If you never agreed a contract with eon you will be on a standard tariff which is

    Electricity
Day units first 900kWh per year21.1995p per kWhDay units17.4825p per kWhNight units5.04p per kWh

at the most they can charge you 98 units at the higher day charge (900/a year x 40 days, it prob works out a few days less just quick way to work out)

based on meter 1 being day and meter 4 being night this would be correct, however i cant see how you can be using nearly a 1000 units on rate 1 in just over a month
