Should I go to CPW or direct to O2 for my new BlackBerry?
Two questions:
I have a Nokia from the CPW using O2 which is no longer under contract. I pay £35 per month and get 600 "free" minutes. I am pretty sure this is no longer considered a good deal.
I would like to upgrade to a BlackBerry. I have been with CPW for several years and never had a serious problem although I know they get many complaints.
Should I go via CPW or would it make more sense to go directly to O2 (e.g. go to a O2 shop)? My impression (which may be wrong) is that since I have a "relationship" with CPW and O2 it makes sense to maintain this. And avoids the hassle of PUK codes for moving the number to a new operator.
Second, I have NatWest advantage gold which means I pay £12.95 a month for the privilege of.....not sure exactly. However, I note that this figure can be used as mobile 'phone insurance. Since it would make sense to insure a new BlackBerry should I keep the overpriced Advantage Gold for this reason or is it unlikely that insurance with O2 for example would be less than Advantage Gold?
Many thanks!

Depends on you and the deals cpw offer for o2 or the deals o2 offer direct - decision is yours.
Advantage card - some of these things can have some extras which for some people are good but not something I would want for myself. £12.95 to pay for the card a month to get phone insurance which you could get cheaper by itself does not seem logical. Saying that the card does offer other perks - so really down to what you need.
Not exactly sure about costs per model, but last contract I signed up to had £7.99 insurance per month (which I promptly cancelled, I never insure phones - might do if I had something worth hundreds of pounds but I don't).0 -
On this contract who does the billing?
ie does your bills have CPW on them
I am billed by CPW.0 -
Anything to avoid CPW, all the boys in there speaking "street", high fiving each other and walking around with their !!!!!! hanging out showing off their underpants for some reason...Definitely somewhere to avoid if its anything like my local CPW.0

you're probably better off going to O2 direct as you could get a better deal IMO0

The one in Newark on Trent for a start!! my wife likes going in as one of the young lads apparently has 'cute buns' on display although why he has his lunch hanging around in a retail enviroment is beyond me.....'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
