he's stomped off to watch the football in a temper.
Apparently 'if my back is hurting, I should not do it. It's too late anyway, the place is a shiit hole and I should just not bother' regardless of the fact my parents are coming here. I've been cleaning a very tidy, but in need of a decent dust/hoover house for 2 days. I told him I had cleaned and he went right into the corner of the room and started pulling dust etc away from the edge of the carpet away with the edge of his shoe . Apparently 'I need a fan for the bathroom' and 'the whole room needs stripping'. Not 'can I help with anything', just 'telling' me as he normally does. Apparently it's my house and he has his own stuff to sort.
It's him all over and I should just shut up really I suppose. Any job has to get to this 'row/crisis' point before he will do it and I told him - he denied it but I said 'you don't do anything until it is absolutely and utterly urgent' and he had no answer because he knows it is true. The bathroom has needed doing for years and he's told me on many occasions what I 'need' to do.

BB I'm kinda speechless. I hope there are upsides to being with him, that outweigh him being so unpleasant.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

I honestly don't know why you put up with it BB.....But I'm sure your parents won't mind about a bit of dust and a few loose tiles.
Have done half the ironing, roasted a gammon, got roast veg in now, tidied all through and sorted DH out. Got some washing out on the line but not sure it's going to dry, feels a bit damp out there.
Katsu - I've hunted high and low for that pashmina and can't find it, or my black or blue ones. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, it's been a bit manic this week.

Katsu-what colour pashmina do you need? I've got a decent selection...Debt-free...and staying that way...0

BB - I'm not sure what to say. How are you going to cope spending 'quality' time with him on holiday? Plus a bit of dust has never hurt anyone!
Bunny - I love the smell of bleach too and furniture polish. I'm strange.
Katsu - how is the studying going?0 -

No problem Pooky. SRM I fell for a lovely warm autumn tan one on Oxfam but it was a bit poor quality. I was after a warm brown or orange, but it is a want, rather than need IYSWIM. Naturally if you have a spare...
but I would not want to deprive you of one you use.
LMC - I've made dinner and will start after food

I am so !!!!ed off and hurt.
been doing the sodding garden for most of the day. Mum hasn't been interested at all which was fine but then she is SO NEGATIVE and just doesn't seem to understand any of it. I know she is getting old and she forgets things but it doesn't stop me getting upset.
It doesn't help that I am knackered, we have no hot water or dishwasher and apparently its my fault we can't have a man round to look at the boiler because I haven't decorated the bathroom (if we do have changes it will affect the bathroom ie damage the decor) nothing to do with her piles of crap in the spare room that stop you getting to the boiler entirely - she will move that when they come round ? oh where? my room - it can't be hers cos her radiator doesn't work so they would need to look at that.
living here is bloody night mare.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

What's that phrase? You know, the one with "Sherlock" in it...Burlesque_Babe wrote: »Not 'can I help with anything', just 'telling' me as he normally does. Apparently it's my house and he has his own stuff to sort.

Why? To make life a little bit more comfortable for him?Burlesque_Babe wrote: »Any job has to get to this 'row/crisis' point before he will do it and I told him - he denied it but I said 'you don't do anything until it is absolutely and utterly urgent' and he had no answer because he knows it is true.
