    Thats being pedantic

Not really, I was replying to anewman suggesting using cunifer, rather than pure copper. Cunifer is a copper nickel alloy, 90/10 ratio, or occasionally 70/30.
So I was saying most copper pipe sold is usually a cunifer, as a 90/10 ratio, even though it's sold as "copper".

(Edit, I have found some advertised as "pure copper" on google, with the same site selling "kunifer", so it is still around)

My previous car's brake pipes developped a leak during its MOT, they showed us where the mud had basically been keeping it together. I left the car there for a few days while they fixed it. I really wouldn't have risked driving it without the repairs being done, whilst some people seem to be suggesting that people need to lighten up, for me part of being a responsible road user is considering the impact on my life and the lives of others if my brakes or some other crucial part of the vehicle were to fail.

I'm not saying it wasn't highly inconvenient to have to take taxis/buses/cadge lifts for the time it took for the repair to be done but at least I knew I was being responsible. You could probably say that I'm being sanctimonious or preaching but at the end of the day when you drive something around that weighs over a tonne (and I know someone will correct me on the weight of a car here), you have a responsibility to other road users and pedestrians.
