Lots of posts on this subject (non-LLU providers) on this board already, but the main issue here is usage level. If they are signing up with AOL then their 'Just Broadband' package is a capped 10GB service which will be inadequate for heavy users anyway.
If 10GB is enough, then I would suggest PlusNet Value, which is £2 cheaper for the same 10GB cap (£12.99 on a Market 1 exchange).No free lunch, and no free laptop
