Could it be this is for easyMobile and not T-Mobile!It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

I'm totally ignorant about these things so bear with me....
I may buy this phone for my neighbour using my name/credit card/address/etc.
Is this OK? Will she need to transfer/re-register it in her name, etc? And, if yes, is it a simple process?
Please let me know if there's anything I should be aware of or concerned about before I take the plunge.
Many thanks
, G
Edit: Thanks to charlie12 for answering my question below
. She has since changed her mind, & wants something else

Yes, it's fine. Neither the phone nor SIM are tied to your name. The SIM needs to be registered for it to work, this can only be done after it arrives and it can be registered with any name/address. You don't even need to register the SIM to use the phone (with a different SIM) but it's worth doing to make use of the credit it comes with and the other advantages of Easymobile.
Oh, and I think the SIM has to be registered to qualify for cashback.
The SIMs that come with the phone are different to the "SIM-only" SIMs which have to be registered during the initial purchasing phase. These "SIM-onlys" are not as easily transferable, if at all.0 -
I finally ordered mine after loads of attempts and after talking to customer services today..The reason was the only credit card they don,t accept is american express/this happened when I tried to pay for my barclays car insurance too{fat lot of good for these necter points}..I,m so glad I did not cancell my other credit card as I only got it for the cashback/necter points bonus..Can someone tell me if I ordered another phone for my daughter would I get the £14 from quidco again0

Amex isn't very widely accepted, even worse when abroad in the rest of Europe.
I have an Amex credit card but not one with those useless Nectar points, but some other rewards system, I have Visa and Mastercard too to cover all bases. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Easy mobile have a policy of only 5 sims per household. My household is up to 5 now, as they've had so many good offers recently. However, given that the nokia deal sim does not seem to be registered until it is received, couild i buy one, or more (via quidco for £14), then register the sim to eg my dad, sister, even though i bought it with my credit card and address, or would i still technically have more than 5 sims to my name.0
