Hope it goes ok. I have every sympathy. My friend was living with us at the time and he had dropped 5 jean sizes in 6 months, turns out he had Crohns disease, which is an imflammation of the bowels. They gave him smarties to make him better, so fingers crossed they will do the same for you xx

I had colitis, which is similar, but was cured by the op. Crohns is horrid cos it's incurable. The test I'll be having is similar to a colonoscopy, it's pretty quick and not that bad, the worst bit is the preparation (you have to drink loads of stuff to 'clean you out' and it's not nice!).

Good luck Cagne and Amber for your ops- no flashing your privates to the docs !

The last time I had the test, the doc was young and very handsome ... talk about embarrassing ...

Amber oh has colitis but he takes tablets and has never been offered an operation. Ha to go for a colonoscopy every year or so. Most of the time he is fine with it but now and again it flares up. I think it is stress related with him.

Well I have 4 mystery shopping jobs tomorrow. 1 on Wednesday with a double fee :j. Then next week I have 3 free lunches :j.

£26 of mystery shopping money being paid on Friday and also my extra college money. So £250 on Friday - yay!!

Trial bar shift on Saturday too - the joys but its cash I suppose. Looks like I am going to be majorly unsocialable at the weekends.

ETA: on 3rd application of snail gook, skin is majorly soft and I think I can see a difference. The redness of where the spots are/were is disappearing!!

It's quite rare to need an op for colitis, Rosie - you may have heard of pouch surgery, which is what I had after a colonectomy. Most people are treated with meds.
