Morning all-hope the migraines go soon em, could be the weather like you say it has been really muggy and humid and that gives me migraines very occasionally. I've never had the 10k target in my sig and havent really thought about it! I just see the thread as a place to hang out with good friends :-)

    Morning Mabel

I think when I joined this thread I knew I would struggle to make the £10k but I knew that I needed to open up the way I was looking at life to find ways to start making money for my family. Now I am pretty sure that the £10k won't happen but without this thread I wouldn't use ebay, I would never have started a blog never mind 2 and I would have missed out on some fantastic friends, oh and I have started my book too and learnt so much too ......the way I apporach my life has changed because of this thread , and I am doing lots more things that have the potential to earn me money and for me that makes this thread a success.

So Em - please don't feel you need to to opt out of the challenge, I don't think I ever really opted in!!

    Morning everyone,

Where ar we chatting today, here or the ville ?
I'm almost at the point now where I may need to register my company name. Has anyone had any expereince of doing this and dealing with companies house. Steps to take, advice etc, liabilities and commitments once registered etc. anything like that would be great. PM me if best or reply on boards if it's just general info.
    Thanks in advance dribblers.

Re the challenge. IMHO, the challenge started out for me exactly that, if I could make 10k in a year, part time around my curernt job and comittments it would go a long way into my long term view of OH spending more time with our kids and reducing her working hours during the early years. Since then the goal is still the same but the goal posts have moved slightly. My 10k is in sight after only 6 months, largely due to PPI reclaim to be fair but it was due to this thread that I acted upon it.
Much more important than the 10k for me now though is the community built around this thread, like minded mish mash of random people who in most cases have never met but support and encourage and listen to each other. If I don't make 10k this year, I may not be financially better off but my life is definitly richer.

sorry cagne I have no idea about companies house.
    I'm sure others will though.
maybe 2cats1kid as her main businesses are pretty successful.
or there is the small business and charity thread on here. its just a bit further down the list than up your income.
I'm really pleased that your 10k is in sight. And glad that you still get something from the dribblers community.

    Morning All,
Trying hard - that ebay total is fandabbydosie well done you! That’s pretty freaking excellent.:j:T

Em – huggles sorry to hear about the migraines I have only had a couple and they experiences that I never want to repeat- so I seriously feel your pain on that one. Doc’s does sound like a good idea. Have you tried 4head by the way... it can be pretty helpful when you are having a migraine.

Babymoo – yay for favours... hope you can get space from OH that would be excellent.:j

Joprah – all hail the mighty Joprah on point with your words as always!:)

Cagne - *waves* Just so happy for you about the PPI and so glad that you have done so well.:j

I am getting little heart flutters this morning and a lovely smile reading what everyone has got out the challenge. For me it has been about self confidence and following through with ideas. I have tons of ideas, a ridiculous amount (Nixi can testify to that...lol).

But, the one thing that I have always lacked is follow through and discipline. The best part for me is being around like minded friends who all really support each other and want one another to do well.

Even better is that no one laughs at anyones ideas or start on a negativity train of saying that it can’t be done or it won’t happen. Everyone has contributed to so much and this thread reminded me that there are a lot of amazing people who are good natatured, kind, considerate, and caring who genuninely want the best for one another.

And am blown away daily by the little acts of kindness and support that this thread has inspired.

Would I still like the 10K? if I achieve that it will be wonderful, but I rediscovered my love of writing as I have the blog. I have really loved getting back to making and doing graphics.
Also each time I have had a high or a low... whether is digital hugs or praise thanks so much to everyone just for being there. It really means a lot and all of you are stars.
Massive hugs to all and Happy Friday : )

    morning all.....

Mabel - well bloody done girl! I could do with an order like that!!

Cagne - Personally I would trade as a sole trader for a while until you know the business is going to work (you can still employ people if needed). It is easy to register with companies house but not so easy to shut a ltd company if it all goes tits up (not that it will but forward planning is best!).

I have been doing a lot of thinking this last week or so and I have decided not to go with the piercing studio offer to help promote PM as I don't 100% trust the guy I spoke to. I guess I will just have to really pull out all the stops and get it up and running by myself.

Nixi - when did you want to do the thing on PM? I need to get the site sorted first...... :)

Has anyone heard from M&P?? I have sent her a few messages about a deal we had going but no reply..... I am a bit worried about her.

    Hey to everyone else....

off to get organised.... too much paperwork left, too many things that need to be done!

Mambury - don't blame you... I think you've done right to go by your instincts... I will pick a belly ring soon... I am so indecisive :)
