    Ok it was like this.
That the challenge has moved on from being about the superficial 10k to be about doing what we need to move our lives forward in the way that is right for us.
One of my first ever posts on the first ever thread was about keeping open minds to the possibility of making 10k but also that what we actually find might be the things that we actually need.
Thats not to say the money is superficial - it most definitely isn't for me. But I have leanred how to take baby steps towards sorting it out rather than relying on the dream and wish of 10k at the end of the year. Who knows maybe what I have learned will be worth at least 10k to me in terms of insights into how to deal with my situation and habits to take forward. maybe it will save me a fortune over my lifetime even if I never "earn" the 10k.
Maybe evrything I have learnt about myself and others will be invaluable for me and having an impact on my life long after all my debts have been paid off. maybe what you needed from this challenge wasn't 10k and maybe it is still very much for you. maybe you don't need 10k to do what you wanted the 10k for. maybe there are other things you need to make it happen.
I don't know but I don't consider you out of the challenge because I don't consider 10k to be the reality of the challenge anymore - just its name.

Thanks Jo - you're right as usual :) I wrote a long post but then deleted it as i realised it was a bit personal for here lol. It was useful writing it though as i'm clearer about my priorities and what i need to do. Thanks for prompting me to think differently about things xxx

lol it's good that you 'spout stuff'! - it's hard to demonstrate active listening on a forum without 'spouting' lol. mmm yessss, i hear what you're saying, *nod*...*leans forward*...*raises eyebrows*...

Thanks for the chat - i feel a lot brighter now :)

Well the LO got his jags, he cried a bit, I felt guilty so took him to Home Bargains and let him pick some thomas the tank trains for his carry case. So we now have Thomas, Toby, Arthur, Rosie, Percy, Bruce and Patrick??

The LO 'posted' his daddys bank card and I can't find it. 10 days for a replacement hehehe. OH has been told that £300 is being transfered to our savings, no arguments. Since the shopping has been done and petrol tank is full I don't really see a problem living on £200 for the month!!

Doing an MS report and I'm so bored.

Jo, you are so right. This challenge was initially about raising the money for me and DP to move in together, or rather to buy a house together. We have since realised that to live togther and have a happy life together we don't need to buy a house, yes it would be nice but if we wait for the money to be able to do that then we will waste the next 5 years waiting when we could be actively living our life together the way we want it to be done.

I have learnt a lot about myself this year, about the way I judge myself on everything that I do, about how I view my friendships with the people I have around me, including the ppl on this challenge that I speak to every day. I didn't neccesarily want to make the 10k but I needed the challenge and a reason to get up in the morning.

Amongst other things this challenge has made me realise what really and truly is important. Thanks xxxx
