Ok, taking a quick break. I feel like I have been going all day today. Wait a minute, I HAVE been going all day!! Ran errands, etc this morning and am now the very proud owner of a new ickle fridge!!!!!! Now am trying to shift boxes, clean the flat, sort and put stuff away. Even hand washed the laundry this week to save a few quid lol, it was fun tho in a odd sort of way! Going to finish all the bits here, and then a hot bath, jim jams and a dvd I think. Not had the telly on since last sunday.
Elly, I cant remember, were you the one that asked for my addy? I swear the past couple weeks I have become very absent minded!
Hope everyone is doing well and is happy. I will be back later, just needed a quick five mins to catch breath and give my screaming knees a short break, now back to it as it just does not seem to sort itself! BTW, if anyone wants a free 6.5 ft bookshelf, please come and take it!!!! I have one too many!
hheh right off to finish then I can treat myself with coming back to dribble!!

elly, I am intrigued!! LOL Toots has been asking me rather odd questions as well, like fav colours and shapes. The mind truly boggles!
if I had to choose between the two elly, it would have to be blue.....I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -
nikki/skint how did you get that total
The total in my signature?
£2000 of it was shares which I got for my 21st birthday but kept because the value had dropped. So when it went back up I cashed them in.
The other £3000 is from eBay sales, babysitting, beauty stuff, mystery shopping and just basic saving.
Getting a £226 payment from the college becuase they have funding money left :j.0 -
:T Well done Nikki, that's great going! Over half way there! :TJust £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0 -
Good Saturday evening all!
NLID - sorry, I'm harking back to yesterday, but have you looked at the option of a debt management plan? Creditors tend to (not always) back off substantially if there's an agreement in place. The Debt board has a wealth of info, I think perhaps you need to look at ways of getting some breathing space and managing the dogs at the door, I know it was a huge weight taken off my shoulders when I did that. Sorry if you've already looked into it hun, hang on in there.
Thanks for the welcome back Paula, I missed the dribbling! Glad to hear your anti-d's seem to be settling down a bit. Weezl is the MSE gospel on Old Style lol, you're bound to pick up mega tips! :T
2cats thanks! I'm pleasantly surprised at how sensible DS has been, not that he's ever really given me cause for concern. Well, the motorbike he bought last weekend will probably give me continual heart stopping issues, but what can I do?! Hope you're feeling better today hun.
Jo, haven't caught up on your blog yet, but will do this evening (I have an unexpected child free zone tonight, yay!). I hope you enjoy your day at work.
Joey, I like your Plan B best!! The children versus kitty debate is a non-starter in my mind haha!! In all seriousness, I think it's wonderful that there are so many of you here who are considering fostering, I imagine it's a very, very hard but incredibly rewarding thing to do.
MummyandPaige glad to hear the books are slowly working their way out your door! Fingers crossed they keep selling, you never know, summer time might bring a boost as a lot of people like to go sit out in the sunshine with their latest readable.
Amber, so nice to see you back, I hope you're not missing your family too much. Your book stall sounds like an excellent idea, I say go for it!! But then I'm a bookaholic. And biased. :rotfl:
Mambury, you sound like you've been busy today, I vote you put your feet up with a cuppa!! Why do you hate food shopping so much?? I always make that fatal mistake of food shopping when I'm hungry.....
Nixi, sorry your little un is feeling poorly, big hugs for you both.
Mabel, lovely mini move for today, and how great that your kindness was repaid! I think we should do away with money, and go back to bartering goods/services!!
Babymoo hope you're feeling a bit better today hun, big hugs.
Em, we're obviously not walking in London, but DD has expressed an interest in doing the ones up here. She didn't seem to have a firm explanation as to why - not that she needs one, just that it came as quite a surprise, she's not the 'active' kind!!
Elly sounds like you're getting nicely settled in to your new home!
Well, I promised myself that when I got in from work I was only going to sit down for half an hour then I was going to fly the house. I'm still sitting here, an hour and a half later..... ooops!! Glorious sunshine here, although a little nippy out of the sun, always brings out a perverse desire to clean!!
Catch up with you all later, hugs to anyone I've missed, I really shouldn't let the dribbling get away with me and then my posts wouldn't be so long!
