Thanks Em, I think its because the mundane is looking so daunting that I'm wanting the escape of the buzz. you are quite right. the days I spend just doing the mundane rather than feeling overwhelmed by it are by far the most satisfying. yet still I want to avoid it.
I often wonder if I did my "stuff" in a professional capacity I would feel similar to how Toots was starting to feel about her hooking. In many ways I would love to find a way to do it that sat well with me. most of the ideas that seem the obvious way to go such as counselling etc don't sit well with me as you have picked up from my previous replies. maybe there is an out of the box way somewhere that I haven't thought of yet. actually it wouldn't have to make me money just be something tangible that I could really contribute to or create.
Also sometimes I really believe in what I write and then things happen to people and I feel humbled and naive and like I have written a load of idealistic nonsense. I don't truly think it is idealistic nonsense but I guess I am easily shaken from my self belief sometimes.
    sorry if too deep.

    jo some ideas
1/ have you looked into being a lifestyle coach
2/ don't have to say but is mum contributing to household if so is it enough to repay building works might be that rebuilding a good relationship with her is more important.
3/babysitting/childminding might be difficult with the homeschooling
4/bum wiggle dance to shake off those blues lol
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

Jo - I don't think it's idealistic nonsense at all, much of your advice seems to be about training our minds to respond to different situations in a more helpful way and that's invaluable advice. When we're in situations, it's easy to be blinded by overwhelming emotions and to see either too big a picture or become consumed by the minutiae of the problem - your advice helps to see the situation from a new angle whilst still acknowledging the realities involved. I totally believe in what you say, you never undermine the extent of the problem anyone has and you're always open to other thoughts. The very fact that you feel shaken sometimes proves that you're right for that kind of work - you're not rigid in your beliefs or thoughts and are genuinely responsive to what others think/feel. That's just my opinion. Not very well written as i'm still suffering from nut overload lol.
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

haha good suggestion elly - while you're bum wiggling Jo you should also write Joprah 6 times in the air with your nose :) x

I am making no comment about nut overload.....snigger :-)

Ems right Jo :-) If you doubt yourself just go back to Facebook and read your poem :-) and then I want you to write 'I am Joprah and i am great ' in the air with your nose whilst doing a bum wiggle dance :-)

Oh forgot to say, I was out my mums with my 3 year old Neice the other day ,she has just started some kiddie dance lessons (my neice not mum!) and was trying to show me some steps, I managed my own version with added bum wiggles and she was in fits of laughter...think I may be in trouble with my sis next time she takes her to dance class tho as she might not appreciate my version lmao!

Thanks Nixi, will respond in PM once I've digested a bit more. like your thoughts though.
Elly will get bum wiggling thanks.
Not confident enough to be a lifestyle coach and charge people for it and self promote. I enjoy writing and responding to people but not sure I have what it takes to really take that on. maybe something similar overtime might evolve if I do keep my mind open and think laterally about stuff.
Mum is contributing but not to the part of the build that we paid for but she contributed partly to buying the house in the first place. she owns the percentage of the overall building that she paid for and we own the rest. it just cost more than expected at the outset and she is already at her limit. now we are too but we have the capacity to find extra income and she hasn't.
childminding would be a step too far for me.lol. not organised enough.
really appreciate your input and taking the time to think up ideas and making me laugh about the bum wiggle dancing. might have to look up the fat bottomed girls clip again tomorrow and get on with sorting that kitchen out.LOL
Em thanks for the vote of confidence. I guess I never think of what I'm writing in that professional way as it is just my way of responding to people and situations so maybe thats why I feel uncomfortable thinking of it differently.
    starting to feel better thanks.
