Morning all, had a great time last night and am absolutely gutted that we forgot the cheesecake. The worse thing was that Munchki had texted me after I set off to come back for it, but my battery had gone on my phone so I didn't get the text till this morning! Boo!

However, my sis and I are taking my mum to Chatsworth this afternoon - we are having Afternoon Tea!! How posh are we?! So I will make up for the lack of cheesecake with lots of cream scones and mini sandwiches :T

It's very cold today and drizzly, so don't think we'll be doing much walking round the grounds at Chatsworth. It's a shame but on the positive side, it gives us more time to eat! :rotfl:

I have a host of lovely crocheted mice and fish and even an octopus that the kitties are just getting acquainted with at the moment, thanks to Toots. I'm going to get some pics of them Toots so you can see them saying a big thank you by trying to kill them ;). (The mice that is, not the kitties, lol). It's a good job they are well made.

Nixi, aargh re your dad's garage. I'd seriously think about not telling him unless you have to. I'm not suggesting lying to him, but sometimes the truth can be unnecessarily upsetting. I'm sure you could do without the hassle at the moment too. Great advice from Em, the onus is definitely on them to prove they handled the situation within the terms of the contract and they are on rocky ground already with continuing to charge him the rent. Fingers crossed for you that you get it sorted easily.

Jo - my favourite mini move was the Hurray one too. So here are my hurrays for today

Hurray for chocolate cheesecake, even if it is too far away for me to get to.
Hurray for new friends and old friends and the good times we spend with them.
Hurray for drizzly rain that means I can have a lazy morning not doing my garden and not feeling guilty about it.
Hurray for having finished my meal planner for the next two weeks and feeling as though I'm getting my life sorted out at last.
And finally a big Hurray for kittens who manage to litter train themselves in one day!!!! Yes, one day and they are all experts (hope it lasts :p)

ETA - wow, monster post, sorry guys
    :j

    Hello all.

Hooray for bacon sarnies for breakfast!
Hooray for remaining cat snuggled up next to me!

Those are my two so far.

I'm spending a fair bit of today doing niece's wedding album, so if you see me in here too much shout at me to get on with it!

DH and DD have dismantled DD's high sleeper as she reckons she's too big for it now, and replacing it with a double futon. She reckons she wants a double bed in her room, but I'm not sure she'll get on too well with the reduced floor space, so we are using the futon to see how she manages. It's not intended to be a long-term thing as I don't think it's a good enough bed for her to sleep on for long. Once we know what we need exactly we can shop for a bed (or beds, as ours could do with replacing too). Actually we need a single for the little spare room too so we have a place for her exchange people when they start arriving. Could be a lot of beds arriving LOL.

Haven't been around for a few days, my computer kept freezing. But after a defrag and using Ccleaner it seems to be ok at the moment.

Eurovision tonight, wheeeee. I love eurovision but only because of the traditions since coming to uni.
We play our own little drinking game and have our own rules.

Haven't done much money making cause I haven't had the net but I have made some tool earrings. With spanners and wrenches and hammers and such they are so pretty and I've already sold a pair to one of my friends!

Taking a break. It is taking me ages to decide which pics to use and brighten and clean up the ones I'm deciding on (e.g. taking a Tesco delivery lorry out of the background of the limo pulling away!). It has taken me ages to do a pic of bride, groom and flower girl in the back of the limo. I do wish someone had noticed that the flower girl still had the labels (very large labels!) on the bottom of her shoes - and of course her legs were so little that she was sitting on the seat with her feet sticking straight out so the labels are the first thing you notice! I think I've done a decent job of removing them, but it took blooming ages! It's going to take me all day doing this, before I even start printing and scrapbooking them!

Anyway, have already sold the high sleeper for £30 and DD's room actually looks ok with the futon, so I think it's a plan to get her a new bed for in there. The futon will have to do for now, though.

Hi peoples :) Toots and Munchki and Joey, glad you had a nice time! Saucy, sorry you're feeling poorly again, but you were sounding really optimistic so some things must be going OK now? Nixi, sorry about your dad's stuff, have't read through properly yet but hope you're feeling a bit more sorted now.

-well we just found out we can't get the loan we were hoping for from OH's bank which means we'll be sending DD1 to nursery in September unable to face them as it'll go to a debt collection agency unless we can get money somewhere else. We're cutting back on groceries, I'm quitting Weight Watchers, going to look into credit and how we can improve it etc but I'm rubbish as I just freeze and panic when faced with this stuff. Think it's down to having parents who'd get fed up with waiting and just do stuff for me; I'm still waiting for someone to come along and give me instructions, not great is it! Anyway just dropping in to say hi and have a little rant, grandma's not well at all and is drifting in and out of sleep and not making much sense a lot of the time, MIL's given us some money to go through and see her and take kids to a maritime exhibition so that's OK (3 small kids on the train aaarghh) sorry for babbling, lots of hugs; I keep wishing we could all meet up, just imagine it being a really happy occasion with everyone very excited and huggy! xx xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
