Hehe, so you've converted OH, that's great! It's such a good way to be, I'm happy that when I want to treat myself to something, I've earned and saved the money for exactly that reason and it makes me proud to have tucked away that little extra from being MSE.

Aww pity about the allergy, one of my DD's friends is very allergic, I have to keep taking the cat away from her when she visits as she adores them!

  • Hi Munchki....

Dont say that - you might twist my arm into buying the thing!
Just been to asda to see how much the thing would be worth private sale - there is a healthy profit margin to be had providing I get it for what I have budgetted - Also looked at parts including a full engine service (All Belts, All Filters Oil plugs and leads + thermostat and a clutch) and I budget it will owe me around £270 + a day to a day and a halfs work

Add the cost of a fresh MOT and I should see £800 for it. (I was thinking £500 but apparently they havent depreciated as far as I thought - parkers reckons there worth £960 private sale! )

So will go look at it tomorrow, and speak to a mate in the local scrapyard about the replacement engine and cost everything up properly - if the sums stack up I may be slapping the new engine in at the weekend

M&P - I am clearing my clothes stock to concentrate on PM so I have tried a few things.... Have you got a shop? If so, then try a sale... I put one on a few days ago and I am selling stuff left right and centre!

PM me if you need any help..

Thanks, will do! Will give it a tinker today, and if I can't suss out how to do it, you will be PM'd, thanks x
Yeah - Found 16,600 reasons to be motivated - will happily assign every one of them over to you

Basically I opened the mail to a loverly letter and am now working my guts off as we are basically up the creak without a paddle unless I can make a massive amount of money in a very short amount of time.

Phoned CCCS spent 45 minutes waiting for hte next available person, at whcih point we had to take DS1 to the docs as he has diarhea!

Will PM you when the kids are in nursery, have a few things to say on the matter that might make you feel better until you can get hold of the CCCS, as when I phoned them a few weeks ago, they had a 5 week waiting list for advise.

Saucy - I know it has been said before, but cash in on the health insurance and get yourself seen to and comfortable, hope they were able to help you at the hospital. If they have just given you more pian killers, it is not help, it is palming you off, you need fixing, not managing.

Munchki - lid for the goldfish is a must! Our cats keep using the goldfish bowl as a water bowl and the poor fish is tramatised now!

Elly- glad your OH saw sense and I agree with you, it is better to have not a lot and be debt free, than to have everything and be soooo stressed by debt collectors that you can't enjoy it. One day we will all have the things we want and we can honestly say that they are ours. Don't know about Wales, but you are welcome to park a caravan in my garden and call it a holiday, no charge!

Jo - Joprah need a holiday too, all this advice has worn her flat out, plus she has a family too! Novelty will soon wear off with the kids, until then, just enjoy the fact that they want to be there.

Multi-quote will only let me quote 3 people, so if I have forgotten anyone, I am sorry!

Nursery, fleabay and washing for me today, back later xx

Morning all - thank for the mini-move Jo. For mine, i'm going to do some research into Qigong to ascertain how its application can benefit me and those around me. I'm off to Bristol for the day but when i return, i'll share my learning with you all (if you're interested!)

I hope you're feeling better Jo - remember to take time for yourself. If you need help with mini-moves a few of us can be on standby :)

Hi to everyone else - hugs to all those who need them (including those poor goldfish) xxx
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

Em - I'd be really interested to hear your findings on qigong. hope bristol goes well.
Saucy hope you got somewhere with the doctors at the hospital.
Elly I'd like to do something similar to get rid of our debt but not an option at moment as we are 2 households together.
hugs to anyone who needs them
