    Do they have a reason for trying to call it in? Have you been making the payments?

    (You don't have to answer them)

    I used to volunteer for Citizens Advice and had financial training but I'm trying to work out if it'd be relevant :o

    I have been trying to make an agreement with them for the past months - sending token payments of which non have been cashed.

    I wont be able to afford anywhere near the full payments until at least september. Im sick to death of getting down in the dumps over it and the pressure it is putting on my family.

    Evening Dribblers *wave*

    Hugs to those in need, hope everyone's having a reasonable Monday evening!

    NLID, do keep trying with CCCS, I know it was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do, but the relief after speaking to them was unbelievable. You can get things started online too, so it might be worth doing that first, then they'll have the basic info to talk to you about and it might make the call a little easier too, since you'll have input everything online and won't have to go through it all again. If you've been sending token payments and they haven't been cashing them, they really are a poor lot and that will be very much frowned upon. Can I ask, have you been sending the payments to the original company, or to a debt collection agency who have taken over/bought over the debt? Also, don't stress too much about the 'we're getting our solicitors on this if you don't pay right now' letter - there's not much they can do, if you don't have the money, you don't have it. Worst case scenario they'll apply to have a court judgement against you, and to be honest that might work in your favour as a) the court will see you've been making token payments and regardless of the amount that shows willingness and b) they'll see what you can afford to pay weekly/monthly. I know this sounds frightening and it's not ideal, but there is every possiblity that the debt collectors are playing hardball by trying to frighten you to death. If you do not have the money, then you do not have the money. Take a deep breath and imagine, what is the worst possible thing that could happen? Sorry, just realised I've been ranting a bit, but I so feel for you and these companies are shocking in their attitudes. Having been there, I totally understand what you're feeling right now, but believe me, once you speak to CCCS and/or get your head around the fact that they really can't do anything that dreadful, you'll feel so much better. x

    Saucy, hope you're feeling better. I'd suggest many things, not least of all that you or your OH need to find out what the situation is with your kidneys. Bleeding kidneys and being in so much pain you need morphine is suggestive of something really serious in my non-medical opinion. What have they said is the problem with your kidneys? Why didn't you make it to the doctors today? Did the doctor say when you can get a scan, is he organising it? Find out what the injections were. Oh, and if my doctor left a member of my family lying on the floor behind the front door, I would be making so much noise that the GMC would hear me loud and very very clear. I think you've mentioned that you have private medical insurance? If I was you, I'd be calling them NOW and getting yourself the medical attention that you may require, as clearly from what you have said, the local gp is not helping you.

    Hi Toots, Skint, Hales etc etc.... :)
    Anyone seen Jo? Did she pop into town to find Joprah?
    I've enjoyed the mini-move today (mainly stolen from Jo, aside from picking & eating fresh rocket from the garden and drinking a huge bowl of hot choc) - i did the writing a sentence in the air with my nose thing while wriggling my bottom. A very strange sight!
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
